perfect for on the go!
Very easy set up. Cleaning is easy. I did have to order a flange insert for my correct size was not available to order.
I love my S9 - I travel for work a lot and on shorter trips I bring my S9 and it does the job. Has a great charge - I think I only charged it before I left for a three day trip. Suction is great. Nothing worse than knowing you are full, but a pump isn't strong enough! Not a problem with S9. A little different kind of suction than the big pumps, but is still strong enough to empty me. I pumped while out for the night or traveling for 18 months and will use it for our second when the time comes. Easy to use and small enough for a work bag!
I have this pump through 2 pumping journeys, my first was 2.5 years ago and the pump was used 3 times a day at work for 20-30 minutes each time. I used that time for 3ish months and worked amazing. I am now using it 2 times a day at work for roughly the same amount of time going on 3 months and it is equally as amazing. The suction is great and the portability is perfect. It is small but can really get the job done. I never let it go fully dead so not 100% sure how long it will last, I use it at work for 2 days and then charge it. It charges pretty quickly.
I love this pumping on the go. It's compact and fits in my diaper bag or purse. The pump is simple and easy to use. Love my Spectra 9. The only advice I have is to not use this is your main pump if you're exclusively pumping since the settings aren't as strong as the S1 or S2. This one is perfect for nursing moms who only pump occasionally for relief or when on the go.
I absolutely love this small pump i can take anywhere and not carry a bulky bag it fits in my diaper bag. I love the spectra s9 for pumping in my car while waiting in the school car lane. I take it everywhere i go. I also used pumping cups and just pumped while I drive never losing an opportunity to pump
This is such a great travel pump. It delivers the same suction levels as the s1 and s2. It's very compact and reliable. The battery had a good life, I could go a few days of pumping before I worried about charging . Over all I would buy this again if I had another baby
I used the Spectra S2 with my first, but I needed some portability with my second and I chose the Spectra 9 this time. I'm in love! It's exactly what I needed. They both use the same parts, which means I can use my S2 with the same parts if I need to, but otherwise the 9 has been enough for my needs. The charge lasts about 2-3 sessions, I'm pumping only occasionally now (I'm still home with baby), and I get a nice output, similar to what I get with the S2. It's portable enough to walk around the house chasing a toddler (if I wear it with a pumping bra), or at least portable enough to pump one side walking around. I never used the S2 in the strongest suction possible, so for me the suction is comparable. I'm glad I picked this one this time around.
I used my health insurance to get this pump. Since I'm. It exclusively pumping it gets the job done and is easy to take to work. I even pump in the car with it. I do find the options for suction level and type of suction Very basic. I wish it had more options. This is the only pump I've ever used from spectra and realize now it's simpler than there others.
I got this pump to use when traveling since it's so much smaller than the S1, but I don't get as much milk with it since the settings are not as customizable. I am someone that gets the most milk pumping all the time on the letdown mode (“bacon” mode) and the S9 doesn't have options that can replicate that well.
