Spectracide Bag-a-Bug Japanese Beetle Trap, Dual Lure System, 1 Count

These traps are easy to assemble, attract beetles like crazy. I have learned to put them out early before the beetles destroy my grapes and apple trees. I keep an extra one on hand in case I find another area that is being eaten by beetles. I cut a hole in the bag it comes with and use packing tape to attach a glad gallon bag to the original bag. Then I just change out that glad bag every few days. This picture is an hour’s worth of beetles.

fairly east to assemble but kinda flimsy. they seem to work well the pic is after being out for 24 hours.

Love this use it every year. Saves my garden from the pesky Japanese beetles.

It works. Attracts a lot of japanese beetles. The first year, the bags were filled almost every week for 2 months straight. Last year, the population was down to about 1/3 as many. Hoping even less this year. NOTE: It's important to place it at the edges of your yard, away from the plants you want to protect.

In 24hrs the bag was almost full!! They are off my fruit trees and I couldnt be happier. Didnt even have time to fill some pebbles in the bottom of the bag to stabilize it because it filled up so fast.

It works. But it claims to be a multi pack and it is not. It's one trap. One bait. And 2 small plastic bags. That's a miss leading ad. So I won't purchase again. That company will lie itself out of business. Too bad . The product does work.

If you are buying this product, please do so in person and come to your own conclusions. It is beyond me why Walmart chose to advertise this product when the packaging itself has been opened and smashed. The Walmart shipping box itself was in pristine condition, so I can only assume that the Spectracide product box was in that poor condition when Walmart employees packaged it for shipping. That paired with scotch tape, which was not added by me, as well as the inferred "best by" date being last year, tells a story that they just wanted to get rid of this junk taking up space. This product contains a component which emits pheromones which, unlike wine, do not age better with time. Do I think this Japanese Beetle Trap is bad? Hard to say because I will be working with a product that has been mistreated by those in the supply chain to be destined for failure. Just shaking my head.
