We've owned our Speed Queen dryer for approximately 4 months, and it's been the best dryer we've ever owned. It's super quiet, very efficient, and has features that are easy to use. The control panel is very self explanatory, as well as having features such as a pet hair removal cycle and steam sanitizing. We bought the Speed Queen washer and dryer, and do not expect to have to replace them or have any issues with them for a very long time. We love our Speed Queen appliances!
My wife and I purchased a Speed Queen Model #TR7000WN Washer back in December 2019 and it is performing as well today as it had when we first took delivery of it (6 years and counting). Recently, our Electric Dryer (not a Speed Queen/Alliance product) failed after several problematic years so we decided to compare a variety of models from several different major appliance manufacturers. We studied features, construction robustness, customer reviews, manufacturer reputation and warranty offerings. After completing our "due diligence" research we decided that the Speed Queen Model #DR7004WE Electric Dryer was the best choice overall - hands-down! The rich cycle features and flexibility along with the steam cycle component, heavy-duty no-nonsense construction and warranty (7 years!) coupled with the fact that it is manufactured right here in the United States of America all contributed to our ultimate decision, never-mind the trouble-free experience we continue to enjoy with our aforementioned washer. If you are on the market for a reliable "install it and forget it" ultra-reliable electric dryer - BUY ONE! You won't look back and regret your decision.
My wife does laundry like its an Olympic sport. After having our last set of Whirlpool washer and dryer not even last 4 years it was time to invest on a set that will do what it's supposed to do when you want it to with peace of mind. If you have the money spend it once and you wont have to deal with costly repairs keeping brand new subpar junk running.
I did a lot of research and I am glad I did. This dryer works amazing. I wasn't going to get the model with all the bells & whistles, but I am very grateful to have got this model. I allowed my clothes sit in the dryer all night. The next day I tried the steam refresh, and all the wrinkles came out. Very happy!
We have had these machines for a couple of months and so far they have lived up to their reputations. Sure they cost a little more, but seem well worth it. Clothes are clean and they run quietly. We haven't used all the features yet. The proof of this being a great investment will be in the long term, and if they continue to perform as they do now.
Well made units. I wanted a basic dial set washer and dryer, but ended up going with the electronic models due to the additional warranty. I don't like cheap technology, and these seem to be built for longevity. We use SpeedQueen commercial models some are 20 years old used daily, they seldom require maintenance, only scheduled. which is testament to Speed Queen. Unlike cheap residential models they can be rebuilt and are worth fixing. American made and non disposable should be the goal for corporations when it comes to vehicles and appliances, foreign made garbage ends up in landfills leeching into the ground water. I'm not an environmentalist but CEOs need to be slapped awake in the US. Speed Queen needs to hold the line and keep producing quality appliances! I sincerely hope my home units are on par with the commercial models we use. I grew up using a 50 year old washer, it still runs. Upgrading an appliance should be driven by features not a disposable lifespan, we have to realize our consumer habits will end up destroying our landscapes otherwise. We only have one Earth, and our children deserve better.
The reviews and videos we watched were right. Dumped our 7 year old piece of you know what LG machines that didn't wash or dry clothes, and had gunk in every washed load, and had to dry clothes 4 and 5 times to get them dry. Chose the 7000 series over the 5000 and have been super happy. They just work like good machines are supposed to. Would do it over again in a heart beat. Wish I had done it sooner.
I am a pet owner and I absolutely love both the pet and the steam features of this dryer. The Pet cycles really do remove excess fur from our clothes and from pet bedding very effectively. The steam cycles do everything from reducing wrinkles to sanitizing laundry. I love the preset settings and I can also customize the settings based on my own experience. Finally, I love the lint screen. It is so easy to clean and it does not allow big lint chunks to drop into the dryer. A lot of thought went into this dryer and it shows. Very happy with this purchase.
Works great overall and dries clothes efficiently, i'm happy with the performance and capacity. One downside is the noise the roller bars make when it's first started - it sounds like baseballs thumping around inside for a few minutes. I've heard they are looking into a fix.
From the first day it has sounded like a lead basketball in the dryer. It lessens as the machine warms up but reoccurs with every load. Two repairmen have said we just have to live with it.
