It washes and drys really well, and isn't that what it is supposed to do? I see why laundromats buy these machines, it's built like a tank! I don't expect to see one in an art museum, but I do expect it to do a fantastic job for many years to come.

I love my new SpeedQueen washer/dryer. My old unit gave out after the agitator actually sheared off during a spin cycle! It wasn't even four years old yet! (It was a GE made in China). My appliance repairman recommended that I purchase a Speed Queen unit. This is my first front load washer which I was hesitant to purchase but it was my only choice for a stacked unit. It is solid, well-made, quiet, and wonderful. I love the fact that it is made in America and will probably outlast me (I'm in my late 60s). It uses less water than my top-loader which is a plus in drought stricken California. I love the different options. And the dryer is great for removing my border collie's pet hair. Don't even think of buying anything else but a Speed Queen for your next purchase!

I am so impressed with this machine…3 Labrador retrievers, a house of boys and even designer clothing handling, I will never own anything different.

We had to quickly purchase a new washer/dryer combo for our spa. This machine is durable, and we are able to do 10 loads+ of laundry a day.

These machines are made literally to last a lifetime. They are quiet, sturdy and clean our clothes wonderfully and efficiently. We could not be more pleased with our purchase. Quality isn't expensive, it's priceless :-)

I love these machines. They are sturdy, easy to operate and the cycles are quick. I think the dryer might be difficult for short people to reach though. The only complaint I have is that the markings designating which containers hold the detergent, softener, bleach and prewash are not clearly marked.

Yes we paid a lot. But it's probably going to last for my grandchildren. You can't find too many American made products that can do this anymore. I miss the old days where products were made well. I should have gotten a washer and dryer stack that was smaller due to living in a high rise condo. The water hookup in my Place, was on the right and normally stacks have that cut out above the control panel. This stack does not have that angled cutout so it is extremely tight fitting in my utility closet. It's still a wonderful product with pet hair features and steam settings. THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD MAKE THIS BETTER IS ONE SIZE SMALLER FOR CONDOS. We need the best company, USA made, to offer a smaller stack feature to cover the condos and apartments in high rises.

Overall, I am not thrilled with this machine; for the price I expected more. My previous machine was so much better. It does not clean with cold water. The detergent dispenser is chintzy, hard to read, and difficult to use because it does not come out far enough. The washer seems to pull the pet hair off items well but leaves hair on the rubber portion at the opening. You must try to clean it up (the rubber is very sticky) before taking clothes out so the hair doesn't transfer back on. My previous washer took the hair completely away. The dryer opening is almost out of reach and you have to 'fish' for items that cannot be seen.

Out of the box, washer was leaking from soap dispenser. Took many days and phone calls, including from the merchant AJ Madison, before warranty service was scheduled. The serviceman fixed the leak but refused to wait for a quick wash test, and after he left, we discovered that the washer was shaking and very noisy during the spinning and couldn't finish washing due to various errors. Getting to schedule another warranty service took even more days and calls. The second serviceman said that shaking and load noise was normal because it's a commercial machine; as for fixing the errors he wanted to try replacing control board, which we refused to do because it would not solve the totally unacceptable shaking problem. In the end the merchant sent their man who fixed the washer load noise and shaking by tightening some loose bolts, and the errors were fixed by a local serviceman who properly balanced the machine. Overall, it took a month to get those problems fixed but at least now the machine works quietly and is fine overall. However, the terrible experience trying to get quality warranty service will linger for a long time...

Dryer failed after 4th use. Overheated and was running while turned off. Paid top dollar thinking this was the last W/D we would purchase. Now skeptical
