Had one of these a long time ago and repurchased, so much room to mix paints and the cover is a bonus, paints don't dry out as fast

After taking a hiatus from commercial art syllabus [for 54 years!], upon retiring, I decided to take a survey painting course. My principal medium was watercolor, the only medium I did NOT study in high school or college. Upon developing some technique and speed, I decided to add gouache to the equation. Gouache was my strongest medium back when. I shall use this palette for gouache mixing and storage. The palette has 33 bins plus a palette-long mixing surface. The bins are a hefty size and enough quantity-wise, to accommodate the typical 24-tube gouache set PLUS in-between colors, hues or tints. It is relatively sturdy for a plastic device; it closes with a positive latch on a piano hinge. Ironically, the device is black top on white bottom. It measures 12-1/2 by 6-1/2 by 1-1/4 inches, a useful size to fit in the rolling knapsack with its companion art supplies.

Not suitable for travel. If you look at the picture, you will see that the bottom of it kind of sticks out. Lid does not come off and on easily.
