This is a very good cord reel. The little handle on one side, with the floating handhold on the other, is an efficient combination for handling longer cords. My cords are new and still highly coiled from the box, as well as having been in the front yard during winter for a month powering Christmas lights, so it took some effort to get them straight on the reel this first time. However, I think after being in this round shape and stored in a warm place until next year, it should be much easier next time. It handily accommodates one hundred feet, and I was even able to add my Y connector on the end to avoid loss, as you can see in the photo.

Why did you choose this product versus others? I bought this product to store my one hundred foot micro USB cables. I wanted something that would wind them up easily and store them in such a way that both ends could be sticking out so that when I used the cable, I would not have to take the cable all the way off the reel. I was able to feed one end onto the reel and then stick a little bit of the end out one of the side holes and then wind the rest of the cable on the reel. It worked perfectly because, unlike other cable reels, the crank mechanism does not interfere with the bit of cable sticking out. I also liked that this reel came with a zip up bag. I am worried that the bag is made of thin, flimsy material and that the reel just barely fit inside the bag. I am not sure how long this bag is going to last. Cord length: It easily fit my one hundred foot micro USB cable with room to spare. Functionality: Very functional, as the cranking device does not interfere with the cord itself. Ease of assembly: No assembly required. Weight: Very lightweight.

This is a great reel that holds a one hundred twenty foot dog rope in place so it does not get tangled up by those midnight gremlins. The dog rope has a fastener on both ends. I wrapped one end around the cylinder and fastened it with the rope, then attached the handle and wrapped the rest of the rope around it. The other end was attached to a dachshund. He is a relatively small dog, but he can pull the rope. The only caveat is that the wheel is plastic and very lightweight, and he can also pull the wheel. Therefore, the wheel is anchored down without obstructing the rope from pulling out. This wheel serves four main purposes: the rope winds back around the cylinder base without tangling; I can reel him in when I am ready to bring him into the house; it keeps him from chasing after delivery persons, birds, and so on and going out the open gate and running down the hill and possibly getting hit by a car; and it gives me peace of mind. This is definitely a five star product for my purposes.

When this type of reel came out decades ago, I loved them. I am still using them and have given them to my kids. When I needed to replace the ones I handed out, I checked out the cheaper ones. From pictures posted by buyers, I saw they had too many flaws. This item, online, looked more reliable than the ones that were less than half the cost. Once I had it in hand, I could see that the quality was just as good as I had hoped it would be. I will be buying more and, if all goes well, hope to use them for another couple of decades.

Anything stored on a reel can be unreeled without needing to be untangled. I got a couple of these. On one, I store a fifty foot air hose. The other holds a fifty foot pressure washer hose. I find storage is easy, compact, and kink free. Designed without an axle, I can easily work it by myself. As a bonus, when winding up the pressure washer hose, it self drains as I wind. A good product.

This product is worth your money. I purchased this a couple of months back for my job. Unknown to me, someone used an extension cord incorrectly and melted the cord into the reel. After ten minutes of snipping, this unit survived. If I could recommend a product, this is it. Buy it.

It is fine. I was hoping to use it for C9 Christmas lights, but it is too narrow and barely fits. For a hose reel, it is fine. The bag that came with it does not fit, which might be a mistake on the part of whoever packed it.

I bought this to reel in my dogis one hundred foot leash, and it is perfect. It makes reeling in after a session of fetch a breeze and stores nicely. The material is very sturdy and of good quality for the price point.

A great product that works fine. It would have been nice to be able to leave the female end of the extension on the outside so that I do not have to reel it all out to use it.

I have never written a review on any product I purchase, even if I am not satisfied. But this reel frustrated me so much that I had to. It took me a very long time to unreel, thus wasting my time. Simply put, I do not recommend it. I was very disappointed because I was looking for something inexpensive and simple. Do not buy.
