Gave 5 stars because the servo works great with no issues. But beware...you need to buy the extra 3 inch extension if using in a UMX Timber. Got this to replace a jittery left wing servo in my UMX Timber. Purchased from local hobby shop after reviewing parts list for UMX Timber on Horizon's site. After installing, I found the lead was about an inch short. Had to go back and get the 3 inch extension for $5. Was frustrated for two reasons...1) I didn't see anywhere in the description that you need the extension for the UMX Timber. If I knew that ahead of time I would have bought it at the same time. But instead, I had a half-put-back-together plane that I couldn't fly for a few days before I could make another stop at the LHS. 2) I felt penalized by having to pay another $5 for the extension. I'm sure there's no problem with shorter wingspan UMX planes like the Pitts or Cub or whatever, but the box stock Timber has a servo lead long enough to plug into the receiver with no extensions. Why isn't that servo packaged as a replacement part for the Timber?...they're already making it for production Timbers, so put in its own package with its own replacement part number. I'd be willing to pay an extra dollar for a little extra lead, but adding a $5 extension to an $18 servo is an a near 27% price increase. Not cool. Also note that the reverser that comes with the servo cannot be connected in line as an extension...the servo will not function if you do this. The required extension is listed under the parts page, but there is no note anywhere in the servo description that it's needed. Would be nice if Horizon added a comment in the servo description that the extension is required for Timbers.

Took longer to separate the body of my Cub Sport 2S than it did to replace the servo. Used the supplied reversing cable and followed the instructions. Works perfectly. Thank you to Matt for the outstanding customer service in helping me replace my faulty servo!

The included program cable does not have instructions on how to change the offset or reverse the servo. I had to call for assistance that could easily have been printed in the package. Add the program cable and power then remove to step to the next of four modes. Test after each step to satisfy your requirement.

This is a direct replacement. I had to reprogram the offset with the included connector. Worked great.

When I dumb thumbed my Cub S2 straight down into the ground, the wing broke and pulled the wires off of the aileron servo. I ordered this as a replacement and, having learned that it might require reprogramming to get the correct reversal and offset, I ordered a separate servo reverser. When I opened the servo package I was surprised and delighted to find the servo reverser was included. There were instructions as well, though not terribly clear. The servo is now installed; the programming was quick (though it was necessary cut the wing loose from the fuselage and then to split one side of he fuselage so we could gain access to the radio board for the necessary plugging and unplugging of tiny connectors to accomplish the programming. ) Bottom line- if you need this to replace a servo, it comes with everything you need to accomplish the reprograming and the installation, except perhaps the glue or double sided tape to attach the servo to the wing.
