Spellbinders Platinum 6.0 Die Cutting & Emboss Machine plus exclusive die set and embossing folder

Although I've elected to send this back this is the perfect embosser. Im new to embossing and have fallen in love with this new hobby. i just bought the wrong size. I didnt realize how much I was going to love this so I bought the next size up.

I love the quality of this machine and its ease of use. I literally saw a video of someone using this machine and bought one. It is very easy to use due to the picture of the sandwiches on the plates included with the machine. I would have liked to see included, an easy project or tutorial on making a project so that I wouldn't have to rely on a video to learn how to use the machine.

The Platinum 6 is a great manual die cutting machine and great for use with the betterpress system. Would definitely recommend.

I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to use a manual die cutter, due to health problems, but the Plat Six is lightweight and I found it easy to turn the handle. It will be a great addition to handle smaller and more finesse cutting, leaving the electronic cutter as the workhorse.

This is my second Platinum, and I really love it. Easy to use, stores nicely, plates are self-explanatory for proper use. I wish somehow the handle could fold away for storage purposes (rather than remove it), but I understand that’s just not the design. Very happy with this tool!

I love my new Platinum 6 with the universal plate system. It handles all types of dies and embossing folders with ease. Being lightweight and compact and taking up little room is a major plus. And, it's very classy/professional looking. My only issue is that the cutting plates warped very quickly, only after a few cuts. I later read that the plates should be turned over after every cut to prevent warping. I wish that information had been part of the instructions since I'm new to die cutting and wasn't aware of that. That's far from a deal breaker though. I would still buy the Platinum 6 again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a die cutting/embossing machine.

I haven't had much time to play with my new machine, but I am sure it will work just fine for all my needs. My one complaint is that the cutting plates seem to warp quickly. I have tried to rotate them after 2 or 3 cuttings but still find that they are warping. The only other thing that I would love to see is a fold away crank. I purchased this machine because I work overnights and I take crafts with me to work on and it would be nice to be able to tuck the handle away instead of it getting caught on things in the car. I am sure that I will get a lot of use out of this machine just like I have my previous (un-named brand) machine that I can no longer buy.

I did one die (AnnaGriffin) pass through. It was So difficult to get it thru, took me 15mins with all my power to get it through! I couldn't go back & hard to go forward. The plates where warped & marred with the die both plates. I haven't done it again because I don't have the physical strength & don't want to damage the machine! As much as I watch people use this machine on YouTube I thought it would be easy, I was wrong.,
