This salad spinner by Melissa & Doug is an awesome addition to our play kitchen. This toy not only promotes healthy choices, but it also helps with fine motor skills with its button to spin the salad,removing the lettuce from the velcro, and twisting the salt and pepper shaker. This toy also promotes sensory play with the cracking sound of the salt and pepper shaker and the felt lettuce leaves. We enjoyed playing and creating some great salads together! It's amazing quality and realistic like which is awesome because they both love to play kitchen and help mommy cook. All of the pieces are good sizes and not super small so don't have to worry about any choking hazards which makes it very safe so it's a win for me!

They are suitable for both boys and girls, a universal toy. Large hard vegetables that the child will not be able to eat. My son liked how the plate spins, it interested him for a long time. Safe for small children. A universal needle for the kitchen and garden. This game teaches a child how to assemble a salad from vegetables.

With the help of his big sister, he learned to pull apart the lettuce, put it in the spinner, and push the button to spin it. He loves hitting the top button to spin his veggies! I love that it is well made and durable. The only problem he had was he liked to over stuff it and it would not spin. Since I gave it to him on his birthday last month it has been one of his most reached for kitchen accessory.
