Very surprised by this set for the price. Wooden pieces, quality board, nice overall. My only complaint would be that the board folds in half twice down to a square. I prefer boards that only fold in half once to a rectangle. With the double fold, one side is a solid piece of cardboard all the way across, nice and even and flat and the other side is split in the middle making an uneven surface. It makes playing on a couch or a bed tricky. But as long as you don't mind then it's a really good set. Started my daughter off on checkers. It got her mind going on strategy and thinking ahead and planning an attack as well as defense. Then we switched over to chess and she's doing well. This set really helped with that.

My five year old great grandson loves the game. We always tie on Tic Tac total, and he's really wanting to learn checkers.Better so he can beat me and now he wants to learn chess

Board ripped after a few uses.

I bought this in hopes of it lasting long. I did like that there were 3 games in 1. I was wanting to learn to play chess. However, we went to close it up that night. The board ripped in half. Now, for $12, I guess I can expect it. But for the quality, it definitely isn't worth more than $7.

This is a good chess/checkers board for the price, the board is very flimsy but for a quick game it's not bad.
