Splat Red Hair Dye Complete Kit, Midnight Ruby Semi-Permanent Color, No Bleach

I love this product. I mix the blue and purple together (Midnight Indigo and Purple Tanzanite) to get a color-shift effect—sometimes it looks purple, sometimes blue, and in certain lighting it shows both. This is the only dye I’ve found that I’m not allergic to, it actually lasts, and it doesn’t damage my hair. The color holds for about three months even though I wash my hair every day with Native’s volumizing shampoo and conditioner. I don’t use any other styling products—just the shampoo, conditioner, and this dye. I’ve been using it since I was around 11 or 12, and I’m 26 now. My hair has always stayed healthy with it. It also works really well on my tape-in 100% human hair extensions. I got them on a whim to see what I’d look like with four extra inches, and the color took beautifully. My only complaint is that the shades I use are almost always out of stock in stores, so I usually have to order them online. But I’m so loyal to this product at this point, I wouldn’t switch anyway. My go to color! The brightest red is over bleached hair, the darker red is over my natural brown. This color never lets me down regardless of if my hair is natural or lightened, I use midnight scarlet. I clean houses for a living so i also want to recommend if you buy this color to have a bottle of clr to spray in your shower after you rinse your hair color out because it stains.

I love Splat hair dyes! I had never used this particular color before, but I LOVED IT!!! The thing about Splat is you can usually put one color on over another color and get a nice natural blend. The purple is more on the orchid side, but it’s a beautiful color and it fades nicely. Not a lot of bleeding as with some colors. I will definitely be doing this color again.

As a visitor to the USA I tried and feel in love with this colour. I live in Australia and cannot purchase this amazing colour here. Thankfully you make international shipping easy and affordable. I constantly get compliments. Thank you Splat !!!

We bought this for my teen daughter's hair. We just did the underneath for a "peek-a-boo" look. She has dark red hair but we didn't use bleach first. The color went on really dark but ended up looking more like a burgundy color and it doesn't seem to be sticking to the red hair as well. It does make a mess so be ready with old shirts and towels, and a good pair of gloves!

I don't know why everyone doesn't like splat hair color I love it deep rich colors and doesn't ruin my hair. All others I have tried have burned my hair or dried it out real bad but not this it may fade if you don't follow instructions about how to maintain it, but I think that is customer error in my opinion

Every time I sweat the color ran down my face. I know it's semi permanent, but I didn't expect it to do that. Plus after three washes, my gray hairs were totally coming back through. They weren't purple at all anymore.

here's a pic of the coloring in my hair. I had done "ghost roots" with this coloring. I am a natural blonde, so there was no bleaching before adding this so please take that into consideration. ive also got a lot of grey hair as well. with it being semi-permanent and my hair holds color longer than most, here's a picture also about a month or month and a half after the first pic was taken.

This is dye is ridiculous. Highly suggest don't get on skin and when you go to rinse it out of your hair HIGHLY suggest you rinse it outside with. Freaking hose. This is our shower after our daughter rinsed her hair. We rinsed the tub and scrubbed it, rinsed again and still here it is. Should sue them for a new bathroom!

Color isn't great. In the 20 years I've been dyeing my hair, not once have I encountered a mess of this magnetude. Even after putting petroleum jelly over my hair lines, neck, and most of my forehead, this disaster seemed to dye more of my skin than my hair. It is absolutely everywhere, and only scrubbing roughly with dawn soap seems to remove it. If I could rate this zero stars, I would.
