SprayMax 3680065 2K Clear Coat, 11.2 oz, Matte

I bought this to provide a clear and tough matte finish over several pieces of refurbished exterior automotive trim. While long-term results are up in the air (only time will tell), I was extremely impressed at the beautiful, even, and smooth matte finish. I have every confidence this stuff will last. A little bit expensive, but the ease of application and smooth finish were 100% worth it.

Great product and left a perfect finish. Cures relatively quickly and applies evenly.

Is great product but make sure you use safety precautions and also mask the area you don't want to get the mist on

I repainted my golf iron heads and needed a good and strong clear coat finish. I initially painted and sprayed them but found I needed more coats of clear coat to withstand the impact with the golf range mats. I redid them and this time I sprayed at least 3 coats of the clear coat on the clubs and, after waiting at least 72 hours before using them, to give them full time to cure, the clubs withstood the contact with the mats much better. The key was to do multiple paint coats , allow proper curing time, then putting on the clear coat with proper drying time as well. Happy with the results.

I recently painted my road bike (carbon frame) to matte black. I used Rustoleum matte black spray paint and tried to top off with a Rustoleum matte clear coat (not a 2K clear coat). The bike looked great but the finish was very durable - the paint started rubbing off where I would take it on/off my bike rack. After researching different products, I came across this 2K matte clear coat by SprayMax and figured it was worth a try. I sanded and repainted the bike frame with the same Rustoleum matte black, but top coated with the SparyMax. Results are GREAT! When fully cured, it dries to a hard finish. I've had the bike on/off my bike rack several times now and there are no signs of wear! One thing to note - because this is a matte finish, it will have "rough" hand feel. This was something I expected, but I wanted the matte look. If you want a smooth hand feel - SprayMax has other 2K clears for that.

This clear coat worked better than I expected! I will definitely use this again!!

This is about as close as a DIYer can get to a professional paint job. Make sure to use appropriate safety gear in a well ventilated areas.

I ordered matte and they sent me glossy. So I contacted the seller hoping they'd send me the correct item and was told I'd hear back within 48 hours. I never heard a word back. So after a week of waiting, I then had to go through the misery of dealing with a return through walmart online. All I wanted was the correct item sent to me. Walmart said they could take the return and give me my money back but couldn't guarantee if I ordered again that I'd receive the correct item. AND THE WORST PART….bc it was a ‘hazardous' material in an aerosol can, I couldn't ship it to return it. I had to drive to Walmart and walk it into the store to their customer service department which was extremely inconvenient. I despise going into Walmart. It is so sketchy and I jdon't feel safe there. Meanwhile, the project I bought it for is 2 weeks behind bc I didn't have the correct topcoat. Terrible terrible terrible experience. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SELLER!!!!
