SPREADER,HOPPER,STD CHUTE POLY ELECTRIC

Bought this spreader to replace tail gate spreader. The SHPE1000 was perfect for my 1/2 ton Chevy short wheel base truck. The savings on bulk salt from bag salt alone has almost paid for spreader. Spreader was delivered in two days from the time i placed order. Installed on the truck in less than an hour. Cant say enough how simple and well built spreader is made. Works like a charm, not one minutes worth of trouble. Wiring harness already had a wire in it for a light on the rear. Added a 20 inch LED light bar and is perfect to see what you are doing of a night time. The only con about spreader that i can think of is i wish it had a hard top that you could open from the middle instead of tarp, I will remedy this problem before next season with 1/2 plywood and paint. The tarp works very well any way but in really cold weather would be much easier to just fold a type of lid over the top and not have to deal with bungee straps. All in all, way to go SALT DOG and Northern Tool.

I own a landscaping business with some snow removal required. I didn't want to spend a lot on a spreader due to the amount of snow I needed to manage. I bought the spreader for my 2005 F150. It was definitely the right choice. I had to make and adapter for the bed due to the length, which was in the product manual. The manual had the exact lengths I need to cut the 2x4s and everything. It was easy to install the control box in the cab and wiring. complete installation took about 3 hours. Highly recommend the product.

I waited 16 days for my order. When I unpacked it everything was missing except for the spreader, no manual, no wire harness, no tarp , no tie downs, no controller, etc, etc. it looks to be a nice product if it was complete. Now I have to wait some more!!!
