I purchased a couple Cell-Link devices last year to complement an existing cell cam. The cell cam has died but the cell links still function. They are easy to set up and work with any camera you have. Having the ability to turn an inexpensive cam into a cel-cam is the best feature. The worst feature is that now you need even more batteries for both devices but that's a small price to pay for the versatility. Some people have had issues with the thin ribbon cable getting damaged. Two things to prevent that, file a small groove in the camera's seal flange so it is not pinching the cable so hard. Second, use a camera that has the SD slot on the bottom so any moisture will not affect the camera but will go down the cable.
my uncle uses spypoint, an get me a cell link to try as I had a wgi trail cam an I had to always go putt the card an spypoint cell link is hooked up to my wgi cam an now I get pics right to my phone. Only been using the cell link for couple days. A now have a twin pack of flex m cams on order. You can't bet 100 free pics a month wit spypoint ad every other cam you have to buy a plan
I have had this camera a few years and the only issue I had with the camera was the SD card I was using was inot compatible? I got a spy point microSD card and have had zero issues since.
I purchased about 12 of these back in 2021-22 and had good luck with the ones I used on the south end of the club. These were closer to a cell tower and sent me lots of pictures of wild hogs and deer. I'm about to purchase 2 more of these just to see in the updates will help me to use all the regular SD card cams that still are in good working order.
I have had 8 cell links for a number of years now. My non-cellular cameras now have become cellular because of these units. They can be a little touchy with some non-cellular cameras, but all in all have worked somewhat well with my non-Spypoint cameras. A few have stopped working and they don't work at all with a couple of my cameras, but have worked well with most of them. Battery life is fairly good with these units, but double the batteries are required for the camera and cell-link combo than if I had just a cellular camera. If you have a great camera that isn't cellular that you would like to make cellular, this is the way to go.
I bought this several years ago but quit using do to issues with the linking cable easy breakage. Had to purchase a great number of sd card link cables. The door on camera kinks cord and cause cuts and breakage.
Difficult to set up. Requires a lot of adjustments. Many things to have to understand to get a grip on its function. Great idea. Like what it promised. But, setup is tedious and if you want more than 100 pictures a month, it can get costly to operate.
I bought a year subscription and not worth it at all, my camera quick working, they do not keep their word on the warranty, and wont do anything to fix the issue, or give me a refund, I have done all the right steps they tell me to do and won't help me out to resolve the issues, I have 5 spypoint cameras activated and 2 do not work
worked for about 6 months... then signal strength went to zero.. in an area where my other spypoint cameras report 90% signal. getting thru the spypoint to honour warranty is horrible. 3 hour wait on the phone, and in chat feature after 2 hours someone joins... says nothing and 15 mins later the chat is closed automatically. customer support is horrible on a product that is not reliable. do not recommend.
camera did not work !
