Purchased 2 of these and put them out. One didn't work 2 days the other stopped working within 2 weeks. Worse part is they are over 7 hours away from me! I installed 2 reachable battery packs to ensure they'd last for a few months……..wrong! I've only ran Spypoint for over 5 years with no major issues but these cameras definitely have some bugs that need to be fixed.
Works fine the day I set it up. Leave it for a few days and it stops communicating and sending photos. Did this several times over the past year. Changed SD cards, formatted the cards, changed batteries, reset a few times yet keeps doing the same thing. Support is ZERO help.
these cameras are junk and the customer service is horrible, dont waste your money on this junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought this camera about a month ago for a new place we got to hunt this year. Was very easy to set up and link to my photo. The first photos come out as expected very clear and easy to see. So far battery life has been good as well out for a month now and still showing 95%
I have used many trail/ game cameras as a wildlife professional and I would not recommend this model except in very specific circumstances. First, the camera sticks out like a sore thumb due to the extra battery pack (depth is 4"), so it's difficult to hide in high traffic areas. The camera also has significant issues with the battery packs (e.g., doesn't switch to the rear pack after the front dies and the camera sometimes stops taking pictures after only 1 day of use with new batteries installed). I often drive many hours to deploy each camera and these issues can add full extra days to my work schedule. Finally, the plastic housing is delicate and cracks easily. If you want a camera to monitor activity close to your house, these are probably fine minus the battery issues, but I would seriously consider another model or manufacturer if you're planning on using these for wildlife field work or hunting trips far from home.
Happy with the pictures and battery life. But my transmission plan sends the same pictures every day. I only want to see each picture once and keep them on my phone. My plan was used up very quickly because of that and my phone is cluttered with the same pictures over and over.
need a monthly subscription to use the full function! Do your research before buying!
When I received this cell camera and when I opened the box I thought to myself oh wow it's a lot bigger well I am so glad there is 2 battery trays … it's been out in the woods for 4 months and the batteries are still over 90% and I have it set on videos and sent to my phone every detection… so happy with it! The picture and video quality is unreal!! I haven't had to go to this Camera site because of the double batteries but to only trim some weeds that grew up. I would recommend this camera to anyone that has an area where you don't want to pressure! The setup on app and installation was very easy.
Have used Spypoint cams for years. Nice upgrade from my Link Micro and G36 cameras.
This camera would not take pictures. I set it up as instructed, but got nothing.
