We bought this canopy 3+ years ago and it still looks great. We have it anchored to a concrete patio and it has held up well through many windy Florida thunder storms. The canopy that came with it wasn't very waterproof but it lasted 2+ years and was good shade. We bought a replacement canopy from Garden Winds, but I see that Walmart now sells the replacements for less. The replacement canopy is waterproof. The frame is heavy duty and has not rusted at all. I plan to purchase another gazebo for my back porch. It took two of us about 2 hours to put it together. It's well worth the price since it's lasted so long.
Good product and can't beat the price!
We love our gazebo. Itâs a perfect fit for our small deck and we get so much compliments on it. Easy to put togheter and weâd recommend it to anyone.
I bought this gazebo and installed it on my wood deck for some added shade. Installation is definitely a 2 person job & it took us about 3 hours to complete. Putting the frame together was uneventful but we were totally confused when installing the top frame pieces (""spokes"") as they didn't seem to be at the correct angle to slide into the top piece. We finally realized that the top piece needs to be much higher than we thought....you will need an 8+ foot ladder. Also, we found it easier to install the ""spokes"" to the top piece first and then attach them to the frame. Getting the entire structure square was tricky, but once we did we were able to use deck screws to attach it to the deck. I am very pleased with the final result!
This canary is very attractive and sturdy! It was a little cumbersome to put up and requires at least 3 people to stand it up. But, overall, I love it!
I bought two of these. During heavy rains the canopy on both of them pooled many gallons of water to the point of pulling the canopy off the center side framework and I had to go out in pouring rain to use a broom to push up on the pooled water to spill it off and prevent it from ripping the fabric from the frame. If I had not been home either time I'm sure they would have self destructed and ripped the fabric from the frame corners and not just the centers of the frames as it did on both.
I guess you get what you pay for... Pros: not too expensive, nice looking. Cons: not well made (holes do not line up and had to re-drill some holes to make it square); don't provide locking washers so nuts loosen often. Not expecting it to last more than a year or so given number of sunny days in S.D. Finally, one should note that this thing is NOT almost 10 feet in W/L. The metal frame is a bit over 8 feet square. Once you add the cover, it becomes 9.8 feet. So if you were planning to fit your 8x10 rug inside it, it's not gonna happen.
My first Gazebo lasted 15 years through all kinds of extreme weather. This one from Walmart will fold if I blow on it too hard. Where the pieces are supposed to be welded together it looks like they have glue on them maybe because they are not metal but aluminum. I could have gotten the pop up canopy for 1/3 of what I paid for this.
Missing parts and hardware
I ordered a new gazebo through hayneedle last month. We received it and put it together this weekend. It looked very nice. Unfortunately it did not withhold any rain. All my furniture was saturated from the rain the night before. The next day it rained again during the day and everthing got wet again. You could see the rain saturating the gazebo tent and then profusely pouring on to the furniture underneath it. Very sad to say this product was not a good purchase. I should have just bought from a big company like I did before. I now have to order a new gazebo can from a csnopy replacement company.
