SRAM MRX 18 Speed (3 x 6) Grip Shift Set

A perfect replacement for any 18-Speed Grip Shifter. Walmart also has a 21-Speed Grip Shifter Set which I will purchase when the other bike shifters break. Both kits include a Left Hand 3-Position Grip Shifter and either a 6-Position or a 7-Position for the Right Hand unit. The attached cables are more than long enough for any replacement purpose, although you may need to use a small torch to cut off the excess cable as most cutters cannot handle the aircraft quality cable.

I was apprehensive but they were relatively easy to install. The trick was adjusting the cable length for the derailleur to move the chain properly. Both required additional adjustments before working properly. I also needed some good wire cutters to cut the excess cable length. The shifters that were replaced were cheap and broke after just a few months, so for a durability review, I'd need to wait at least until the fall.

Excellent replacement part for the 6 speed rear grip shifter found on most kids bikes available at WalMart. The package actually includes both the 6 speed rear grip shifter, and the front derailer (3 click) grip shifter, which allows up to 18 gear selections. Also included are the cables and hex tools to tighten the new parts onto the handle bar. Easy to install if you are handy with simple hand tools. The only thing missing is the cable guides, so keep the old ones.

Both shifters and cables for one low price. Excellent quality, probably better than what came on the bike.

Installation and adjustment was very easy. Had my sons bike back up and running in no time. I think these actually work better than the ones the bike originally came with. Much cheaper than replacing the bike!

I was pleasantly surprised, for this was better than I expected. Top quality for a reasonable cost.

this is a great idea for a "knock around or second hand bike " saved some money . seemed like the quality was better than the original part. no kidding.

This comes with two shifters, one for the front and one for the real derailleurs. They come with cables already attached to the shifters, so that was a BIG plus in ease of installation. These are OK for inexpensive bikes and they do what they're supposed to do. I must say that the instructions are pretty useless, though.

Shifters were easy to install and work great. Good value.
