Took a step outside of the box and made a garden tomato spritz! Tomatoes from the garden made into a simple syrup, let it cool and add 1oz to a nice glass, 1/2oz of St Germain, and top with prosecco. It's lite, refreshing, unique, and honestly delicious.
I'm obsessed with St. Germain lately. I use an ounce of it to make a Hugo Spritz. I just add Prosecco and a little seltzer and it's the perfect summer drink. It's light and refreshing. You have to try it. It smells very sweet but it pairs well with Prosecco.
I fell in love with this liquor when I first had it over 10 years ago at a trendy Georgetown restaurant in DC. The bartender mixed up a drink with St. Germain vodka and maybe a squeeze a lemon juice in club soda. It was so delightful and refreshing. I immediately searched out this occur and bought it and I've always tried cocktails that are made with it. It is slightly sweet, but floral it goes very well with vodka and gin drinks. I don't drink the brown liquor so I don't know how it mixes with that.
"St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur is a cocktail essential. Its Aroma is beautifully floral and fresh, instantly adding sophistication to any drink. The Ingredientes (Ingredients) clearly contribute to its distinct flavor, offering a lovely Complejidad (Complexity) without being overly sweet. It has incredible Usos (Uses); it mixes perfectly with champagne, gin, or simply sparkling water. It is ideal for any Ocasión (Occasion), especially summer gatherings, due to its light and elegant profile. An absolute game-changer for home mixology."
Delicious flavour, really spring-like. I worked in a gastronomical restaurant for years and one of my best dessert was a soufflé with Saint-Germain. Favourites dessert of the customers! The core flavour is obviously a really sweet and delicate elderflower. You can taste a delicate flavour of lychee and pear. Love the texture too. Kind of silky and honeyed with a citrusy finish. Not too strong in alcohol as it's a liqueur, not too acid either. Also easy to mix it to make it a cocktail. My personal favourite is an elderflower negroni (use Gin + Lillet Blanc + Saint Germain instead of Gin + Campari + Red Vermouth). Try it, I promise you won't regret it !
St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur offers a delicate, floral sweetness with notes of pear, citrus, and fresh blossoms that feel light and elegant. Its smooth, balanced profile makes it easy to sip or mix into cocktails, adding a refined brightness without overpowering other ingredients. A small pour elevates sparkling wine, gin, or vodka drinks with a refreshing, aromatic touch that feels sophisticated and inviting.
St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur is smooth, elegant, and perfectly balanced. It has a fresh floral aroma with subtle sweetness and light citrus notes that elevate any cocktail without overpowering it. Excellent in a spritz, with champagne, or mixed into gin-based drinks. High quality, refined taste, and absolutely worth having in your bar.
Hands down the best elderflower liqueur I've ever had! It's a great addition to cocktails. I love the that it doesn't over power the cocktails but enhance ls it
This liqueur is perfectly balanced— smooth, elegant, and floral! It goes well with practically anything as a side note, and you never need a lot for a lot of flavour since it's rather strong. I sometimes use it to sub for simple syrup and it works well at that as well! I love the bottle it comes in too, it's just so pretty!
It definitely has a distinct taste that everyone like myself won't like. The aftertaste gives elderberry in my opinion taste a lil like medication but it's can pair well in certain drinks if you don't put a lot like a Hugo Spritz. It's not that expensive but it will last a while it's a liqueur not liquor lol.
