Stack On GCB-900 Stackable Locking 18 Inch Steel Pistol and Ammo Cabinet Safe

I like these Stack On gun cabinets. They are not safes and don't offer that level of security, but if you only need basic light duty security, these cabinets are very good in terms of affordability and quality. They are a good value for the dollar. The thing that really impressed me about my latest handgun cabinet is that I purchased one of these cabinets over twenty years ago and I wanted to bolt this new one on top of my existing one. I anticipated having to need to enlarge the bolt holes or to maybe drill all new holes in order to stack this cabinet on top of my old one. Somewhat to my amazement, the new cabinet's bolt holes lined up precisely with the holes on my old cabinet. I'm impressed!

The handgun cabinet showed up in 2days undamaged, mounted easily to my 14gun cabinet as stated, shelves installed easily and has enough room for binoculars, gps and rangefinder plus a couple of hand guns with room for some ammo magazines and speedloaders. I purchased this for a most used gear cabinet I fills my needs and with a good price and free 2day shipping from Wal Mart made this a no brainer

It's exactly as described and exactly what I needed. it arrived undamaged packaged in it's original packaging which was inside yet a bigger box surrounded by air pillows. It took mere minutes to attach to my StackOn 18 gun cabinet, I just installed one shelf to have room for my pistol rack, lots of room for more. it's Perfect! for my needs .

This item was shipped to store. It came in a timely manner and it was in perfect condition. It fits perfectly atop the long gun cabinet. I've read other reviews stating that it was not packaged well and resulted in dents and scratches but I guess they've made changes because mine did not have any blemishes.

As a female, I did not order this product for myself :) I ordered this for my boyfriend for Christmas because he mentioned in passing wanting an "ammo safe" for his handguns, important documents, and other small valuables. Of all the safes I looked at and compared, this was the best value for the size. It's the perfect size for what he wanted and he was surprised, which was the point :) Much to my surprise (which may not be a surprise to people who know anything about safes) it mounts on the wall, which is pretty cool! So, not only is the safe capable to keeping things safe, you can hide the safe from wondering eyes by mounting in the right place (sneaky and pretty awesome). Even if I had more money to spend on a safe, I don't believe I would have gone with a more "high tech" safe or one that even cost more money. This one seems to do the trick and has plenty of space. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a safe to store things from kids or nosey people. It has a simple key lock on it, though, so if looking for something to keep from intruders it may not be the best as option.

Looks good. Security key is harder to break into than a combination lock. Sturdy locking bar. Walmart was $20 cheaper than other stores.

Good product but like many other reviews have stated the product arrived damaged with dents and chipped paint. You would think that with all the reviews that have stated this issue, either WalMart or the manufacture would improve the packaging to protect the edges and corners.

I ordered this cabinet as an add-on to my GCB-914 gun cabinet. It arrived on time with no apparent dents or dings. It's not as deep as I thought it would be, but it works fine for what I got it for. With this bolted to my gun cabinet and both of them bolted to the wall, it feels pretty secure. I am considering another one later on to install elsewhere as additional secure storage.

I have two of these the older one is a lot better.It came with Barrel Keys this one does not top and bottom keys are different! I purchased both bottom gun cabinet at TSC. and top Pistol/Ammo Cabinet FROM WALMART! Very disappointed with the keys! Top and bottom keys are the same! They even fit one i recommended to a friend! I will change mine today! Like i said it will keep the Kids out! Thats why i would recommend it to someone else!

I've read the reviews on this and learned that they typically arrive damaged. I do think the quality and value of this cabinet is good and is effective in the storing of ammunition, guns, and other items. However, it simply arrive in a cardboard box with no shock absorption material, which makes it arrive dented. I ordered from Wal-mart because everyone else sells it in green and I prefer black...I plan to order another until I can get one that's not dented. Stack-On needs to invest in some better product packaging.
