This eraser cleaned off the surface rust appearing below the water line around the identified source issue. Took some scrubbing, but it work well. Still have an area about the size of a half dollar where the rust is deeply imbedded in the gunite. This is the source area that's going to require a different approach.

Sounds like my problem solver
i was excited to get this. i thought it was a harder material but it was literally more like an eraser. ive tried so many thing to clean and light the grout color in the bathroom tiles, but ive had little success. i really thought this would be the end of my crazy sesrch for tile grout cleaning and returning it to original color. Maybe i need to use much more pressure but im not that strong. i think I'll return it. But I really like the whole concept: No chemicals, it's safe and easy. It just didnt seem to work for me.
