Without spending a lot, the scissors work well
Bought as a back up pair, for when the stylist forgets to pack hers. I like the blended look and texture that thinning shears give after the initial cut.

Cuts the hair but leaves it feeling rough.
They are inexpensive, so I guess you would get better results from spending more money. They cut through my hair but not smoothly; ;eave the hair feeling rough on the ends. It worked well to thin out my bangs so I could wait longer for a hair cut.
