Organized and on wheels, ready to go!

GrammySharon October 31, 2025

This is the third tool chest on wheels that I have purchased. Why 3? They are great organizers for more than tools. I've given 2 as gifts for construction, plumbers, electricians in my family. They love them! They are sturdy and easy to take to work sites. Either wheel the entire cart or break it down to carry either of the 2 tool boxes. Handles, side clasps and places for security locks all add to the great features. Trays inside and 2 compartments on top of lid make for great storage for the small things. Now, as for me, well these are fantastic for my crafting. One unit for drawing/painting pens and papers, the other for stitching projects. This is one of the most handy storage units I have ever found!

Build Quality

PurpleR February 26, 2026

is in question for this. (This REVIEW is long for a reason, it might just help you decide) I needed a new toolbox for my new tools I'm beginning, AGAIN, to gather because I lost everything a couple years back when I moved, they were all in my storage unit (except a handful pack that I ALWAYS keep on hand) and I couldn't keep paying for the extra cost of storage and couldn't have them in my current place. I had a 60” rollaway with double top and middle boxes jam packed with everything, machinist, welder, fabricator. LA housing prices SUCK! I researched toolboxes, read reviews, and decided to buy this one (decidedly because of the price, $50.99 when I bought it), in spite of the reviews mentioning it was prone to breaking. And I'll tell you the what and the why that is, so you can decide for yourself if it might work for you, or not. It's not each individual piece, they each are very rugged %26 well built, heavy duty plastic, separately they can each handle 50-75 lbs each. But, it is the way that they attach to each other without a backbone to handle the torsional load, they want to split at the securement of the two parts. They have plastic tabs that slide outwardly at the bottom of upper box that the clamps from the lower box clamp over and onto, securing them together. The clamps are pretty good but, the slide out tabs are the weak link. The tabs should be steel, not plastic. If you only use medium to light items in the boxes, *****not inundate them with dozens of wrenches, add 3 socket sets, 4 hammers and 15 pliers, a half dozen chisels, your favorite 1/2” drive impact gun and heavy impact sockets, and a plethora of screw drivers and nut drivers, and a feather*****, you'll probably be fine keeping it around the home. If you try to load it up as depicted above with 50-100 lbs or more in each box, yeah, it's probably going to break those slide out plastic tabs the first time you try to roll it out and toss it into the back seat , the trunk or the bed of your truck. ITS NOT MADE TO BE “ABUSED” THAT WAY. I believe in using stuff within the capacity of the item. Not expecting everything to be built like a bulldozer that clearly isn't built that way. Plastic is plastic and I don't expect plastic to work and wear like heavy gage steel toolboxes used like a roughneck on a pipeline construction crew. Get Real!. Buy expensive Craftsman, Mac, Snap-On for your hundreds of pounds plus toolboxes that ARE manufactured to take the weight and abuse of a mass of tools. If you're going to use this for around the home (apartment, shared house) with your few screwdrivers, wire cutter and some pairs of pliers %26 Vice grips, a set each of metric %26 inch wrench sets to 3/4”, a couple clamps, a 3/8” socket set, adjustable wrench and pipe wrench, level , square, claw hammer, nails, screws, picture hanging hardware, a drill driver, and various other incidentals, things and accessories, it should do you well. Again, Nuff Sayd

It Was A Gift. 🎁

Sherry January 20, 2025

This was a gift for my son. He loved it but says that the bottom bin is kind of small. He has a 6 piece Ryobi tool set with the charger and 4 batteries. He says it will only hold 2 of the tools, the charger and 2 of the batteries.

I read the other reviews saying that the top and bottom don't latch together very well. but that's an extreme understatement. they don't connect at all! the bottom section has the wheels, and it is its own separate box.. and then the other box that sits on top of the one with wheels, is the one that has the handle. they literally do not connect at all! you have to strap this together with something that wraps all the way around the bottom of the bottom box, around the top of the top box. I'm not usually a very negative review type person, but this is the stupidest concept! I don't know how much plastic costs, but you'd think they'd find a way for these two things to latch together for a couple extra pennies worth of plastic... looks good, seems sturdy enough, but I'm not going to try to see how strong it is, I'm going to return it immediately because I purchased this so that I could wheel it around.... having to bother with straps and tie downs, to me, defeats the entire purpose of purchasing this item, that to me, was supposed to make life easier....

not what i thought

greg February 4, 2017

when i first viewed it i assumed it was a set that connected together and rolled as one solid unit. this was however not the case. the top piece is completely independent of the set other than the fact that it sits on top of the other piece. there is no connection, it does NOT attach into a single portable unit. what they do not tell you is that you must strap them together by your own means (wench strap for me) in order for it to work in this insinuated method. the handle is attached to the top box, the top box sits on the bottom box with wheels. thats it. not a single unit. not mobile in the way it is portrayed.

3rd time is not a charm

sarakrystin April 30, 2013

This is the third one I have ordered and it has shown up broken. I am very frustrated. It is a pain in the butt to return it at the store.. they don't know how to do it and the first two times it took me over an hour each time to get it returned. I am dreading taking this back to the store. I can tell them how to do it but of course they will not listen and I will be there for another hour of my life and I honestly do not have time for this! I need this to be intact and need it!!!!! Now I have to start all over and I needed it for this weekend!!!!
