Stamina 35-1403 ATS Air Rower Rowing Machine

At the gym, I regularly used a Concept2. That, of course, is the absolute gold standard of rowing machines. When the pandemic closed my gym, I turned to the Stamina Inmotion Rower I had bought quite some time ago. If you are new to fitness and rowing, this is a great little machine. But if you are very fit and an experienced rower, it won't give you the intensity you are looking for. So, after a great deal of research on home rowers, I settle another Stamina product, the Air Rower. I have only had it for a month, so I cannot speak to how well it holds up. But so far, I love it. It uses air resistance, so the harder you row, the more resistance there is. It does not have a damper as does the Concept 2. But I seldom set the damper above 2 or 3 on the Concept 2 anyway. But for those not accustomed to air resistance, just bear in mind--and do some research--about how it works vs. another type of machine that has resistance settings. I am only 5'6, so I can get a full stroke on the Air Rower. If you are very tall and/or an extremely fit athlete, this machine might not be heavy-weight enough for you. But for most people who are fit and miss working out on their Concept2 at the gym, this is an excellent, affordable alternative.

I got this air tower after recovering from a broken ankle and after searching for exercise that would be acceptable on my psoriatic arthritis affected joints. I started out very slowly- no more than 10 minutes a day so as not to cause any damage. I have had nothing but good experiences with this machine. It is loud but doesn't bother me. If someone else is sleeping I have to wait until they wake to use it or they will surely be disturbed. The machine was very easy to put together with well labeled parts.

Everything about this company and products are FANTASTIC! Hopefully this one will last as long as my last rower. I used that one for over 10 years! I had to replace the chain once and the foot rests twice from use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Stamina Air Rower. The first one lasted nine years. I row 2 miles each morning for a great workout. I'm hoping for another nine years with this one!

I am delighted with the rowing machine. It gives me as good a workout as the rower I used at my gym at about 1/4 of the cost. The assembly instructions were clear and the assembly simple.

It arrived with everything I needed to put it together. It was easy and I was able to do it alone. A little loud but not horribly. I'm very happy with it.

Great machine, very compact and easily moveable. My wife and I are both in our 70s, and bought this machine to use at home in lieu of going to our gym. However, the counter does not provide the number of strokes, nor strokes per minute. You do get speed, calories burned, time and distance.

Works very well. I was looking for something to gently work the upper body and this is it. I'm 65 and play tennis 4-5 times a week and didn't want to lose what I had built up during the winter in Arizona.

Easy to order and assemble. Fits nicely in a small space. Provides an effective and efficient moderate workout for a 71 year old guy.

Great workout and so far it's durable to my tough routines. I combine the rowing with listening to audible books and I can workout with ease and discipline.
