Stamina Air Rowing Machine

I bought this a month ago and have used it 2-3 times weekly to supplement my running and other fitness activities. It definitely works different muscles in the legs and has helped me feel stronger as a runner. For me to get my heart rate up, I really have to have a high tempo (30+ strokes a minute). The machine is smooth and not as loud as some reviews would have you believe. The seat is cushioned, but firm. I wear padded biking shorts and loose fitting gym shorts over them. So, your sit bones do get a little sore. I was in good shape before I started using this. Now, after a month, my legs and forearms are finally conditioned to not hurt after using it for 25 minutes.

My wife and I bought this a few weeks ago and are very pleased with the rower. It was very easy to put together, is very stable and provides a good workout. The quality of the materials is very good for the price we paid. The seat has been a little hard to get used to, but it may be because we have never rowed before. It seems to get more comfortable with each workout. I have arthritis in both knees so the types of workouts I can do are limited. This is a very low impact workout that does not cause me pain and will get me into great shape. My wife and I are very pleased with this purchase.

I suffer from "bad" feet and was finding walking for exercise was no longer an option. I researched fitness equipment and rowing seemed to fit the bill for me. Since I didn't want to drop a ton of money on something that may not have worked for me I opted for this budget friendly rower having read great reviews on it. Well, the reviews didn't do it justice. This rower is much better quality than the price would suggest.  Takes up practically no space even when not folded. Assembly was easy too. I am not disappointed. I keep it in my small bedroom & row every morning before work. Thank you for a quality product at a great price!

I have been wanting a rowing machine and finally did it - and it awesome! I'm just sorry I waited so long. I use 4x per week and can feel the difference already. I use it during the week when my schedule is so unpredictable. It's a perfect compliment to my routine. It was easy to assemble. Easy to use. Thanks

Everything about this machine matched all the research that I had done. It's smooth, has a very easy construction method and is quite sturdy. It folds nicely, and it's very easy to move around. The problem is that we had to rip the whole thing apart to fix the sensor that triggers the monitor. The first issue was that the wheel magnet had fallen off. Then we figured out that the sensor set to monitor the magnet had never been attached. This wasn't something we were to do during assembly. It was a manufacturing error. The sensor was actually Twist-tied to the side of the fan unit. It took us half an hour to remedy it. I can't tell you how disappointing that was, especially given how otherwise wonderful this machine is. Without th display though it's kind of useless, so we were committed to fixing it.

Great customer service. Fast delivery. Easy assembly. It's loud when I use in my garage. Can't hear music over rower. The rower is easy to break down for storage and easy to reset when you are ready to use. Don't like the fact that distance is only displayed in tenths if miles. Most workouts I do require 500 meter intervals and I know that's .31 miles but the display is in tenths. So how far after .3 is .31? What about subsequent intervals. The display does not reset on its own. It blanks after a while of no use but it will not reset until you do that manually. Even after days. There should be an option to switch to metric on the display or a way to order a rower with the metric display.

Got one after Christmas and love it! Strap began to fray on one side. Customer service was really helpful. They saw the pictures I sent them and eventually just sent me a whole new rower. The machine makes a great addition to my circuit and hiit workouts. Thanks Stamina!

I have now been using the Stamina ATS 1399 rower for about a month 3 or 4 times a week. I use it for aerobic exercise instead of running (too hard on my old knees). I find in 10 or 15 minutes I can get my heart rate up as high as I dare and break a good sweat. The longest I have gone is 20 minutes at a steady pace. The machine works good. It is noisy as I read other reviewers state but for my exercise time limits not irritating. The electronics have functioned good so far. I kind of wish the readout was in KM instead of miles but all in all I can recommend the machine. Oh yeah, the assembly was easy and the directions clear, but it did take me more than 15 minutes as some stated.

My initial experience with this rower was mired when on of the internal belts slipped off the internal fan. After reaching out I was promptly sent replacement parts and had to dissemble the unit and rebuild. The long-term durability is probably my biggest concern, but hopefully this was a singular event. The usage of the device has met my expectations, but not wowed me in any way. This is a simple no frills device. I perceive the value of the unit to be exactly what I paid, but could increase if it doesn't need repair anytime soon.

I bought the Stamina 1399 and was pretty easy to assemble in an hour by myself. By the way I am not the handiest person in the world. I really like it except after a week the calorie counter wasn't working. I contacted customer service and they were good. They sent me a new counter but we realized it's something in the wiring. I'm not going to send back since this will be a pain to ship back. I can live with calorie counter since I don't really trust those things to begin with! I hope the company resolves the wiring issue soon because I know for 300 bucks some people won't be as forgiving as I was.
