I got the rowing machine for my birthday and I love it. Easy to assemble. Programs are nice and easy to use. The machine folds up easily for storage. Very quiet.
Purchased this rower two months ago because my previous rower was so loud. This Avari Programable Rower is by far the best I've ever tried, even the ones I've tried in gyms don't compare. I love the screen display and how quite this machine is. It's built to last and very robust..I would recommend this rower to anyone.
Easy to set up and nice to use.
We bought the rowing machine at the beginning of the stay-at-home order and have used it everyday since. It is a great workout machine for the whole family and we each have our own favorite programs. It is replacing my usual exercise which is lap swimming. When the pool opens back up I'm sure not I will return.
My wife and I both use the Avari Rower. We could not be more pleased with our purchase. The unit is well made and sturdy. It was packaged securely and was very easy to setup in about 30 minutes. The extruded aluminum rail is a big plus. Although it's quite heavy, the fold-up rail and front wheels make it fairly easy to move. We keep ours stationary on a Stamina folding mat. The 8 programmed workouts and 4 that are user definable is a great feature. You can choose a workout to match your mood or design your own. The chest strap heart monitor works well and the unit provides great cardio in the range we need. I called Stamina and ordered an additional chest strap for my wife. It arrives in 4-5 days. Operation is super smooth and almost completely quiet. I can be on my computer in the same room that my wife is on the rower and not even notice the sound at all. Try that with a fan-type unit! Overall, a great product. I highly recommend.
Only had the Avari rower for 2 weeks, and love it. Easy to assemble, workouts are a pleasure. A complete workout at home. Bought it because of the current pandemic. Not sure I'll be renewing my gym membership. Delivery within a few days and the price was a steal
Overall a good rower. Its quiet and seat is comfortable. The built in programs are useful. Its not as easy to navigate the screen/menu options, they could have made it more intuitive. Also the folding mechanism is not straightforward - one has to unscrew a large center screw to fold up the long part of the rower. And the center screw is very tight.
We are new to rowing and haven't been much for exercising generally, but wanted a simple option to get in better shape. After some research these seemed to be a good-midlevel unit. We've had this for a couple of weeks and we really like it. Certain body parts take a little time to get used to the activity (e.g., my bum), but it's going well. It's very quiet so we can watch a show while doing it, no problem. I haven't played much with the bells and whistles yet, just set a basic program for 30 minutes and went at it. The unit seems pretty solid and I expect it to last a couple years, but time will tell. Our one complaint is that it came with a bent metal part (part of the front leg mount)...I toyed with returning it or something, but didn't want the hassle, so in the end I bent it back into shape with some heavy pliers. It's not a moving part and shouldn't affect anything. It was very hard to bend so it wasn't something that happened in shipping (the packaging seemed very good), it must have happened on the factory floor and wasn't caught by quality control I guess.
Rower is quiet but not silent.Need to plug in rower.Coming from using a multi adjustable arm rower [cylinder type] this rower is very different.Having a straight bar and only being able to go straight forward/back is kinda boring, and i find it harder on my arms as they remain stationary. Thats not a fault of this rower, more of a condition of me rowing since 90's on adjustable arm rowers. It does have lots of programs but you will have to row awhile to reach the end of each program.....i rarely rowed longer then 30 mins, but i use to jack my rower up a few feet which helped me climb mountains with much less effort. One could likely jack this rower up as well but not sure how that would effect the proper form you are suppose to follow on these straight bar rowers. Being honest its been hard getting use to this straight bar rower, its magnetic but would make no difference if it was air or water.Feels like my arms should be bolted onto the bar because they really dont more from that position,so its been hard coming over from a fully adjustable moveable arm rower. What isnt hard is no squeaking,no squeaks yet, cylinder type rowers are greatly known for almost always squeaking, usually coming from the seat but not limited and will squeak at footrests and cylinder[s]........this unit here also glides on a few more wheels on the seat so it should last longer and hopefully remain quiet. Id say the price is ok.........but ALL stuff these days is overpriced for the most part, and i dont like that either. I'd say if your used to straight bar rowers,or never rowed before, this rower so far seems to be good, and if you like to row for longer periods the programs will give you something to row to.The rower itself looks to be solid, dont see any future problems with frame nor seat, and rower is heavier due to magnetic gear upfront so it dont move around during rowing. One possible area i can see that might not hold up to tough hard pulls is where the straight bar connects to a nylon type webbing cord, the nylon is wrapped once around the bar and then sewed.......i could see that sew area coming apart in the future. No gripes with this rower but havent used alot due to my story above.
We really love the Avari® Programmable Magnetic Rower! It's small and folds up easily. I like the different programs available where the tension automatically changes at different levels. The only thing we'd change is add more cushion to the seat. Great machine for the price!
