I've had this rowing machine for about six weeks now and put about 9500 reps on the machine without any hiccups or problems. First it took me about 30 minutes to put this together, which is longer than the manual said but I was able to do it by myself. Second, I haven't had any problems with the foot holds. I'm 5'10" 180lbs with a size 11 mens shoe. Just secure the velcro tight across the middle of your shoe and go. Third, the machine seems to be sturdy and I hope it continues to hold up well. It's quiet and the seat slides smoothly without squeaking or making any noises. Lastly, the digital counter has worked just fine without any issues. I reset it after each use and it continues to track my total reps.
As a shorter senior citizen, this model of rower is excellent. It was easy to assemble. The magnetic settings for tension are well gauged. I have had the rower for two weeks and use it daily in my workout routine. the slider seat and flywheel are quiet compared to air rowers. The seat is comfortable. The handle bar is soft and comfortable. The fitness meter is excellent providing lots of normally requested data on your workout. Weighing just 45 pounds, and having two wheel, you can easily store the system vertically. Would I recommend this model? Absolutely. The price is also reflected in the value of the rower - reasonable and excellent.
This rower is fantastic and I am so happy that I purchased this model. I had been looking for quite a few months. I was able to assemble it in just over 1 hour by myself. It rows smoothly and is quiet. It's very easy to move around with the back wheels and stands up easily if you want to store it out of the way.s
The rowing machine arrived with a gash in the package and the metal shroud around the Magnet was bent. During assembly I was able to bend the shroud back into shape, thus removing the risk of injury during the use of the machine. Once assembled the machine worked smoothly. In regards to the damage during transport I had very prompt and competent interactions with both the seller and the manufacturer. Obviously, the damage was caused by neither of them, I got it fixed quickly and I enjoy the machine. I was happy with both the purchase process and the quality of the product.
Very solid machine and works well. Actually surprised with how well it works based on its low price compared to others. As others pointed out, the foot peddles could be improved, but other than that I have no complaints.
I bought the Stamina/X. I have had it now for about 3 weeks. For the price it was a very good buy. I like the smooth movement of the track and the adjustable tensions. It has a small imprint and is easy to store away when not in use.
Machine was relatively easy to assemble, provides smooth resistance, and I expect it to last for years. I appreciate its compact, fold-up design, which takes up very little space in our small living room. Only complaint is the reset button on our electronics doesn't work, so everything is totaled since day one, but it's not worth requesting a new one.
I do really like the machine and feel that you can get a good workout using it (I definitely work up a sweat!), but the pedals are kind of a pain in the butt. If you put them on the correct sides (they are marked) it's almost impossible to undo the Velcro. I've read about other people switching the sides so I may try that because I'm not sure why it matters what side they're on. Also the little lip on the bottom of the pedals doesn't seem big enough to hold my foot in. I wear a women's size 8 so I don't have abnormally large feet, but it's super annoying when you're in the middle of working out and your foot just comes out of the pedal. Overall I do like the machine, but this is pretty frustrating. Additionally, when I reset the display after each workout, it clears everything except the total count which just seems weird. Makes me wonder what will happen when it can't count any higher?
Difficult to secure feet when the seat slides all the way back. I drilled a pin hole and insert a trailer hitch pin to keep the seat in a more comfortable position to provide better access to the foot straps, then release to use the machine. Then everything is great for using the machine.
The machine works well; however, I cannot get the monitor to work. It starts and I can scroll through the entries but it won't record anything. The pedals aren't as bad as some folks wrote in their reviews but you have to snug the Velcro straps down very tightly to keep your feet from slipping off.
