My pony came back from the trainers on the thin side. Since we limit the fresh grass intake I added these pellets to his daily feed schedule. The quality of hay in these pellets is better than what we get locally & it definitely helps in keeping a good weight on him. I soak them for about 15-20 minutes.
I bought this a month ago to start the 30 day feed trial after my mare had lost some weight over the winter. I can already see a difference that 1 scoop of these 2x a day is making! She is slowly starting to regain the weight, and this is great to supplement her diet considering grass is still not growing in full force yet for the season.
This product has been a life saver for my 34yo gelding. With minimal teeth left, this pelleted grass has helped him maintain his weight. He is so jazzed every time he gets fed and for 34, he looks amazing. I always recommend this to my friends with seniors
Great sucess with keeping my gelding safe amd ulcer free by feeding this high quality alfalfa or alfalfa Timothy pellets as a supplement meal for my herd.
I started this a little over six weeks ago. My mare is 28 years old. Having a hard time keeping weight on her, I tried the Stanley chopped alfalfa Timothy
I bought these to try with the buy 2 get 1 free deal and my mare loves them! They've helped her put back on a little weight that she dropped over the winter, and they're great for a little extra nutrition for her!
Wonderful for my OTTB. She was very defensive of her girth area and just her sides in general while she was on ProForce Fuel. I wanted something more natural and complete without all the added junk and sugars. I decided to make the switch to Timothy Alfalfa since I feed her free choice orchard alfalfa hay and she has access to mixed grass pasture. I supplemented with a ration balancer and the results speak for themselves. She's rounded out, put on muscle, and is shin no mg brighter than a diamond. I'm obsessed. She's my first horse so I was worried I was going to have trouble transitioning her to a better more appropriate diet but she switched over like a boss! I'm never turning back!
I am so thankful I have my horse on a forage based diet. Standlee products have helped tremendously with weight, topline, coat/ body shine.
I purchased this because my 32 year old stopped eating hay cause of his teeth. The vet removed 2 of his teeth. He still wouldn't eat hay. I went and got him this and he ate it right up. He loves it. So does my younger horse. He screams and kicks for some. I'm happy he will eat his hay again!! Back to himself because of these hay pellets. May look like mush but he loves it!!!
We have been using these alfalfa Timothy pellets successfully for years. The last two bags we purchased require over 3 hours of soak time and while maybe coincidence our horses acting agitated since we started her on these new bags of pellets
