Apparently delicious.

Love the beet pellets. They take a little planning to prep, since you have to soak them, but it's not a big deal. I wasn't sure how my horse would like them, as she wasn't a fan of other soaked pellets, but she loves them. Even if I make them a little soupier in hot weather, she eats it with no fuss. The only downside is that I have to hide her bucket while I'm getting the feed ready, because she gets overly excited and very sad when she realizes she's not getting her food immediately. But I consider that a positive sign.

My Mare Thrives on Standlee Alfalfa Pellets

Anonymous June 19, 2026

Before trying Standlee Premium Alfalfa Pellets, my horse was maintaining weight but lacked the topline and overall condition I was hoping to see. She could be a picky eater at times, and I was looking for a high-quality forage product that would be easy to feed and incorporate into her existing diet. After introducing Standlee Premium Alfalfa Pellets, I noticed a positive difference in both her attitude and body condition. She readily ate the pellets, whether fed soaked or dry, and I appreciated how easy they were to measure and store. Over the trial period, her coat appeared shinier, her energy level remained steady, and she developed improved muscle tone and overall condition. I also liked that the pellets produced very little waste compared to traditional hay. One of the biggest benefits for me was the consistency and quality of the product. Every bag looked fresh, smelled good, and she cleaned up every meal. As a horse owner, I value products that are convenient, nutritious, and dependable, and Standlee Premium Alfalfa Pellets checked all of those boxes. Overall, I was very pleased with the results of this feed trial. My horse enjoyed the pellets, maintained healthy weight and condition, and I would confidently recommend Standlee Premium Alfalfa Pellets to other horse owners looking for a quality forage option.

Consistent high quality

After a month of daily replacement the Standlee Alfalfa pellets have really brought out the bloom in my 16 yr old gelding. And he loves them! They are ready to soak so whenever it's hot out and I want to make sure he gets extra water I offer them in a pail of cold water so he can "Bob for" them!

They look and smell great and my horse loves them

Animal Grandma June 17, 2026

I bought Chance at the end of December and he was extremely underweight. He's been gradually gaining weight, but not enough so I bought the Alfalfa pellets to see if they would help because he needed more fiber. He absolutely loves his Alfalfa Pellet mashes, he is gaining more weight, lost his winter hair that was hanging on and his coat is really shiny now. I am definitely going to keep him on the Alfalfa Pellets along with his senior feed to help him gain the rest of the weight he needs. They definitely made a difference in the month he has been eating them.

Feed standlee

LVR26 June 21, 2026

I bought this for my yearling filly because she seemed to be losing weight, so I decided to try standlee alfalfa pellets because the alfalfa hay around me is very expensive and is not always worth the high price tag. I know these standlee alfalfa pellets are well worth the price and my filly loves them and she has gained some weight on them over the past 30 days.

Great product

Lazyloper June 13, 2026

I signed our retired halter horse “Joey” up a month ago for feed trial. After a unusually rough winter, a bad load of out of state hay, he was looking rough. (18 yrs.old) Adding the 5lbs. Of alfalfa pellets on top of his usual high end feed, he is looking much better! Thankfully we now have excellent first cut hay but in all honesty it was the added alfalfa pellets that did the trick. I am really pleased!

Alfalfa Pellets

S. Moreland May 31, 2026

I've been supplementing Standlee alfalfa pellets to my 3-year-old mare for over a month now and the results speak for themselves! She's more filled out and her coat has gotten so shiny. She's in a pasture with limited forage so supplementing with alfalfa pellets has definitely been the right move for us!

Great for supplementation

Mysreyah May 18, 2026

My senior gelding (27) is SUCH a hard keeper with barely any teeth and no longer enjoys hay. These pellets, plus a lot of soaked senior feed, go such a long way in ensuring that he's getting enough forage. It definitely shows in his coat shine, and his energetic bounce as he trots to the barn to eat!

Soak fast, Great value

Standlee fan May 23, 2026

These alfalfa pellets have worked really well for my thinner QH. They soak relatively fast, making them easy to prepare and great for adding extra calories and forage without a lot of hassle. My horse eats them eagerly, and they've helped improve his weight and condition while being easy on his digestion.

Great for safe weight gain

brave77 June 6, 2026

We've been using Standlee Alfalfa Pellets for a recently rescued kill pen horse who came in very underweight, and they've been a great part of his rehab diet. He eats them readily, they're consistent in quality, and they soak easily into a soft mash, which has been helpful for safe weight gain and easy digestion. Combined with good hay and a gradual feeding plan, we've seen steady improvement in his body condition and energy. They're versatile, easy to work with, and have been especially useful for getting extra calories into a horse that needed a gentle restart on nutrition.
