STANLEY 16-300 3-Piece Wood Chisel Set

I've always trusted Stanley tools, and these, in particular, don't disappoint. They're reliable, keep their sharpness, and are very reasonably priced... so they're my first choice.

I have used these chisels for several different jobs around the house. I used them for chiseling some of the studs so the drywall would fit level. They didn't disappoint me. My dad gave me some of these chisels. I hadn't really used chisels before but needed them when making some storage solutions for some tools in my garage and these were quite handy! I they felt sturdy and stable using them. I was afraid I would slip and they'd chip something I wasn't trying to touch but they were easy to make fairly precise cuts and depending on the angle you can take off a decent amount of wood at one time making quick work of my project. If you thought you knew how sharp something could be, then you need to think again. This defies sharpness. Like an old southern man who's quick with quips, THAT sharp. This past Fall I bought a set of Chisels to do some carving on a guitar I was building for my sons school to auction off. These are my first chisels. It's bought some to work on the joinery of a garden bed, and right out of the box they were pretty good. The grind on the bevel was kind of meh, but a few passes on the sharpening stone and strip made it razor sharp. The steel in the blade is great and held the edge great. Only thing is put something on the The 3 pc. chisel set is fantastic ; true in size,low impact, a definate keeper in the tool box.Only thing is put a protective covering on the tips to not only protect the chisel but also anyone going thru a tool bag or box.
