Talk about a tape! Buy it once & buying for life. I am very pleased with the performance, about a 20ft or so break and just does its job perfect. Yes it is a little bulky but you get used to to after awhile

This is a very good and high quality tape. I really like the baseball design that fits great in the hand. It also has a really good stand out & a nice wide blade.

This thing is heavy duty all the way. Has a wide blade that does't bend easily on long measures making one persons measurements easy. I really like the wide hook at the tip. I have the 35' Fatmax tape measure and found it to be the BEST one I ever owned. I love the extra length and its ability to strechout 13'+ without bending. Its constuction is top notch and I believe the advertizment on the package that says "Survives A 50' Drop". It fits well into a man's hand and is easy to lock in any extended position. I’ve had this tape for 3 years and it’s one of the best and strongest tape measure I’ve ever had! I work in pre-cast and I do side jobs in carpet, tile, and laminate with some granite. This is a perfect tape measure for the homeowner! The tape itself wider than normal tape measures. This makes measuring a long span much easier by your self as the tape does not sag and kink as easily. I recently had to renovate my home's deck and I used the Fat Max. I found the tapes measurement marking easy to read and I think it will be a very durable tape measure. The belt clip is strong and keeps that tape on your belt while you move. The locking mechanism works perfectly and the retraction of the tape won't leave you with a missing "digit"! I dropped the tape measure times and it showed no damage! This measure tape is a great tape. good quality and heavy duty. Housing is well built and shining yellow color is stand-out for easily be found in a pile of stuffs. recoils nicely. Tape is straight and can perform measuring effectively. Numbers are big enough for reading without problem. But a little large for carry around and it would be better with metrics included. What a very nice new tape. The tape itself extends far, the spring return is strong. Easy to read and feels good in the had. The lock mechanism is secure, but I had trouble releasing the lock and often it was a two handed operation. Unless I'm missing something about the way it operates or happened to get a defective one.. Check one out in the store - if the lock works for you it's a five star product. This would be really nice for framing, but Stanley's Leverlock remains my favorite.
