Staples 10-Sheet Micro-Cut Multi-Media Shredder (ST62150)

Replaced a very old Fellowes shredder that finally stopped shredding effectively. This shredder does a great job and provides finer shredding than the old one. Much quieter too, if a tad slower in its process. One thing to note that I was not clear on, is that it has a sliding cover, so the space I was fitting it into was just barely big enough with cover open. We'll see if it has the durability of older model.

I bought this shredder a few weeks ago. Great machine. Cuts documents well enough to protect your privacy. It's also quite, my last shredder was loud and didn't do the job as well as this one. I think it's size works well, not too big or small - just right. The top cover also helps protect the machine, also giving it a cleaner look too. A big thumbs up!

Since picking up this shredder, it's been well used. 20 minutes is a great amount of time to shred. The cool down is 40 minutes but I usually give an hour or longer. I've done several shred sessions a day for several days in a row with no problems. It is not very loud and really tackles those papers. I rarely do 12 sheets (or the equivalent) sticking to more like 6 - 8 at a time. I'm so glad that I bought this shredder. I like the height of the unit and have a little shredding area set up for when I'm going to shred stuff. The only problem with the unit is that, as some others have noted, the shred bin doesn't fit smoothly. A little tap or two, though, and it will fit all the way in.

Quiet and efficient, the window in the bin let's you see how full it is, and the castors make it easy to roll under desk when not in use. I was able to shred 10%23 pounds of old files in 2 days with no overheating. I'm really happy with this purchase!

Our son has a similar unit and when our old Staples shredder went bad after MANY years of service we decided we wanted one like his. Love the way it works. Like the slide bar feature that turns it on and off. Shreds more sheets at one time than the old one.

Papers shred with ease into confetti. I did not try the full amount (12 sheets) at once but I did 3 or 4 at a time. The machine runs very smoothly and quietly. The run time is great and I am so far very happy with my purchase.

This was a replacement for an in-warranty one of a different brand that suddenly just stopped working. This new one seems sturdy and can take several pages at once, although we make sure not to stuff too many at once. So far so good. Hopefully it will last longer than the last one.

This paper shredder replaced my old Staples Professional Series shredder which is much quieter than the old one. I don't like the paper collection basket because it is built awkward which makes it difficult to empty. Shredded paper all over the place if you are not careful. Apparently the old one has been discontinued.

You can find useless review videos online from manufacturer, but no how-to setup shredder. You have to remember a lot of elderly and teens alike need visual instructions as paper instructions are very vague and can cause to setup and use incorrectly. As far as durability, I'll have to come back and do a follow up. All the good reviews are from consumers receiving Free product for review.

Used twice and unfortunately defective internal component. Continued to indicate overheating after only 2 uses shredding just paper. Disappointed but had to return. Otherwise the micro-cut was great !
