I needed a wooden 12" ruler...
I needed a wooden 12" ruler to turn it into a jig for a DIY project requiring multiple duplications of the exact measuring of screw hole locations in a series of thin Lucite shelves. Since my project is in a highly visible location in a high traffic area of my home, there is zero tolerance for error

I found wooden rulers for .25.
When I looked hard I found some with metric and inches. Since they are going in 50 shoeboxes to 100 countries all over the world through Samaritans purse. I had to have dual measuring capability. I bought all 49 the Zephyrhills store had. Please male all rulers with metric also!!!!

What "title" I am supposed to review? "Ruler"?
The five rulers that I bought (all identical) seemed to be well made and had all of the features that I was looking for. I mailed them to my grandchildren to use in their studies--or for any other application they might find for them. For all I know they might have used them to spread peanut butter on their sandwiches if all of the family's butter knives happened to be in the dishwasher at the same time.

Classic ruler -no plastic!
I'm so happy to have a traditional wooden ruler in the house. I found loads of surprising uses for a 12-in ruler. It's been a measuring tool a perfect straight edge and any number of imaginative things for the kid. Great quality straight easy to use notches easy to see for accurate measuring.

Scales Ruler
I like the sturdiness of the ruler and that it is clear but I do not like the extra space at the beginning and the end of the ruler. I am use to the measurement starting at the edge and already have measured wrong on my projects because of this. I would not recommend this ruler.

What happened to the 'normal' ruler?
The ruler is impossible to measure most objects due to the way the ends of the ruler is made ... there is about 1/4 in. of extra plastic before the beginning and end of the ruler. Good for measuring on a piece of paper only. What happened to the 'good ole' ruler we used to have for over 4 000 years?
