Staples 20-Sheet Micro-Cut Multi-Media Shredder (ST62155)

Replaced a very old Fellowes shredder that finally stopped shredding effectively. This shredder does a great job and provides finer shredding than the old one. Much quieter too, if a tad slower in its process. One thing to note that I was not clear on, is that it has a sliding cover, so the space I was fitting it into was just barely big enough with cover open. We'll see if it has the durability of older model.

Our son has a similar unit and when our old Staples shredder went bad after MANY years of service we decided we wanted one like his. Love the way it works. Like the slide bar feature that turns it on and off. Shreds more sheets at one time than the old one.

Chews through everything I throw at it. I look forward to getting junk mail now. I should have bought this years ago. It's always better to have more sheet capacity than you think you need. Be careful about putting this directly to the right of a wall or solid surface, there is a physical power switch on the left side and if you push this too hard to the left against a solid surface, it will turn off.

It's on wheels, has an easy open top to put paper and plastic cards in to be shredded, doesn't over heat, I can shred up to 10 pieces of paper at a time, doesn't clog.

Works great thus far. Long run time and can handle multiple paper sheets, a credit card or a CD with no issues. Very quiet too. Happy with the performance. I have been able to shred a lot of papers without any issues. It is very secure; small micro-cut pieces make it impossible to read anything on the papers. Highly recommended. Price was great also.

This paper shredder replaced my old Staples Professional Series shredder which is much quieter than the old one. I don't like the paper collection basket because it is built awkward which makes it difficult to empty. Shredded paper all over the place if you are not careful. Apparently the old one has been discontinued.

This is a solid shredder for home use. It's quieter than my old cross-cut shredder and requires emptying far less often. I haven't tried 10 pages at a time yet; it gets pretty bogged down with 6 or 7 pages. It is able to shred credit cards, too.

Seems to shred okay. But I had this same brand that was about 8 years old, and I liked the door on the bottom to open to remove the waste bin. This new design seems to make a mess when removing the bin.

You can find useless review videos online from manufacturer, but no how-to setup shredder. You have to remember a lot of elderly and teens alike need visual instructions as paper instructions are very vague and can cause to setup and use incorrectly. As far as durability, I'll have to come back and do a follow up. All the good reviews are from consumers receiving Free product for review.

This unit broke and failed after less than 3 months of use. Despite the great reviews I was shocked. It Actually did meet my expectations until it stopped working mid shred. A normal piece of junk mail. I thought maybe the cord fell out of the Socket by how abrupt and unexpected the failure was. Staples seems intent on not making it right warranty seems to be impossible to fulfill so I'm upset. I gave it 2 stars because it had very swift quiet and oddly satisfying quality gentle hum when using and I really miss it.
