Staples 8-Sheet Cross-Cut Personal Shredder (SPL-OXC8A)

This model is the best shredder I have ever used in my career and for personal use It combines features I wish other shredders would have had. It is attractive, at a height that is easy to reach when sitting at your desk, quiet, the slot to begin the use is set back from the shredding blades and the collection bin can be pulled out with opening the lid is a plus. The wheels on the base make it easy to move as necessary.

This is just what I needed for occasional shredding of documents bearing personal information. It probably wouldn't work for an office with need of constant shredd, but it works well at home. There's also a credit card shredder slot.

I was looking for a midsize paper shredder and this one fit the bill rather well. I have used it for a couple of weeks with no issues shredding heavy weight paper and 5-10 sheet packs quite frequently and easily. A good buy!

my shredder stopped accepting paper and suggested fixes did not solve the issue. it was still under warranty and easily replaced by Staples within a week.

Good shredder, but smaller than my previous model. I think it shreds the paper too fine almost like snow. Small strips would be more than adequate. Wanted to go with the next model, but it was so much larger and weighed too much to move.

Replaced an older model which lasted for over 20 years. This model is smaller but easier to empty. The price was better than any other shedder I could find on the internet.

It's great if you don't do many papers, it did jam up a few times, Ate staples like a champ. The plastic window piece on inside always pops the bag i put inside on inside to catch the paper minor inconvenience.

The pros the shedder is standard 10-12 paper shedder . Light to move around . Easy to use. Put 10-12 papers in feeder ,push button . After a few minutes the machine gets hot the shedder will stop until it cools off . My cons are when the bin gets full of shedded paper (my old shedder) I did not need to remove the shedder “the top “ to empty the bin. The bin had a front where the full bin can slided out easy to empty the bin quickly, sliding the bin back after tossing away the shedded paper.

I didn't think that this shredder would be a problem, but as I'm adding items, it's very slow, even sometimes if it's only one or two sheets, it won't go all the way in and it jams it up. Unfortunately, it's too late to return it, but I would definitely not recommend this.

IT SUCKS. IT WORKED PROPERLY FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS AND THAT WAS IT. NOW THE FORWARD & REVERSE BUTTONS DO NOT WORK. NOW, EVERY TIME I WANT TO SHRED I HAVE TO RESTART IT TWICE BECAUSE IT JUST STOPS EVERY 5 SECONDS OR SO! THE INSTRUCTION BOOKLET WAS NOT HELPFUL EITHER,
