Exactly what I was looking for. Sturdy & slightly expandable.

I have files that get constant use. I was going through new folders every two months as the tabs would get "ratty" looking. These sit on my desk out in the open so I like them to look nice. The rigid construction holds up SO much better than the softer ones. I would just like to see more colors offered as I have four different divisions that I like to keep separate and I like to color-code things.

I use the folder to hold all receipts and information pertaining to a new or existing job. I don't have to worry about the flimsyness of a regular folder and it holds so much more. You can put a rubber band around it or carry in a bag and not worry. Absolutely a great product!!

These Pressboard File Folders are great for documents you want to protect from bending. I use these for photos which I deal with all the time. Also great to use for mailing documents to stiffen the envelope. And the tabs make it easy to use in a file system.

We have used several different brands of Pressboard folders but the Staples Brand is right up there with the best of them if not THE best. We put these folders to the test. In an increasingly electronic world we still maintain a lot of paper records. These folders hold up to long-term storage frequent access and large volume. The weak point in other folders was the expanding spine material but these Staples brand folders have held up perfectly.

These pressboard folders are fabulous! I appreciate that they don't have clasps so they are a great substitute for my vendors we use frequently who then send numerous invoices and need more room in my file drawer than a normal manilla folder allows (even when you bend them on the top ridge which diminishes the sturdiness of the file and its contents - less file around the pages = greater potential for and frequent experiences with papers falling everywhere!. I wish the expansion measurement was shown on the box or on the basic description online. It's frustrating to know approximately how many pages I will be filing by the end of the year into the folder yet not knowing how wide the expansion gets - by the way the expansion is 1". (is 1" too hard write Staples!) Finally I would love the option of a 2" expansion on these and other pressboard folders (specifically the folders with clasps the bi-fold and also the tri-fold folders you make).

If I wasn't needing these right now I would return them. Greatly disappointed in the quality. Over have the folders don't align on the bottom and to top it off the box they came in made too small. Had to destroy the box to get at the folders. Absolutely won't buy these again and recommend going with the brand name version even if more expensive. “You get what you pay for” rang true on these.
