TRU Red is my new go-to pen!!! Each has a soft grip to conform to a comfortable hold. The way the gel flows is consistent. It writes very well on any quality paper. The gel remains bold and dries quickly and smoothly with no added smudges. They're the best writing pens for all your notary needs at home or in the office :-)

I am an office supply fanatic and I am very particular about my pens. I prefer gel to ball point and I need the thickest point possible since I still write extremely heavy like a little kid. These pens are AMAZING! I used the tester pen in the store and went from .5 to 1.0. After I tried it I immediately ran over and got the 5 pack. They're cheap and they work so well. GIVE US THE 1.0 IN COLORS!!! These pens will be my faves until I find anything else that comes close to replacing them!

The ink flows easily without any smearing. Lines are thicker than I prefer depending on the paper written on. Would not work for signing checks but for sketching or crossword puzzles they are fine. Comfortable to hold easy to click open and closed.

I love the feel of this pen and it performed well for about the first hour of use. But then it started skipping. I tried shaking it in hopes gravity would advance the ink to the ballpoint. I was writing on “Georgia Pacific brand Advantage Premium Bright” copier/printer paper. I changed pens multiple times trying (medium point fine point and extra fine point) to see if it might be the paper surface that was causing the problem of skipping however all of the different pens I tested wrote perfectly fine on that same copier paper surface. I should also mention that I unscrewed the pen to check the ink level through the see-through cartridge/reservoir and the ink level was at way more than half probably 3/5 full. I hope this review helps your QC department to improve it's performance and longevity. Please send me more of these pens or email me coupons so I buy more. Thank you

I am sorry to say that I am truly disappointed. They are poor quality. I tried all of them and by the second sentence they ink skips and white spots are visible in every other word. I regret choosing this brand as there many others there. If you would accept them I will return them.

They will not write, I'm thinking they are just a bad batch. I have used this brand before and loved them.

I have used the .5mm tru red pens exclusively for a while and wanted to try the 1.0mm. I love the thickness but this pen has terrible performance on smooth paper. It is scratchy it skips and it almost never starts at first write. The smoother the paper the worse this pen performs. On some of my paper the ink just bubbles up on top. My .5 mm pens are older and I notice the ink is a different color so maybe it's a different ink. It works really well on rougher paper surfaces though like in my sketchbook.

These 1.0 pens don't have the same quality as the .5 or .7 pens

Highly disappointed. Inferior product. The pen feels like there is sand in the ink when you write with it. Did a return on the first package I received. The replacement was no better. I didn't want to bother with a return on the second package. I guess I will just toss them in the trash.
