Staples TRU RED Retractable Quick Dry Gel Pens Med Point 0.7mm Asst TR54501

The Tru Red pen is an awesome writing instrument! I found this pen in the booth of a dine in restaurant. After trying it, I decided to investigate where, I could possibly buy more. I got lucky and was able to order a package of the pens from Staples. Now, Tru Red in my primary writing tool!

These pens write very smoothly. My kid got one handed to him and needed them for school, so I grabbed the colored pack for me for fun, and I'm loving how well they glide. Slight issue with smear marks, as I am left handed, but overall a good pen. And my right handed kid does not have any ink smear issues

I've been using True Red pens for about 2 years and like the medium point. I also like the retractable pen and that the ink dries quickly. I got the red and don't like it as much but like the turquoise. Unfortunately I can't find a box of turquoise only sets with other colors.

I purchased multiple brands of pens & I did not like the lightness of their ink. So glad I picked up the True Red am a new fan!! Thanks so much for making a good pen that's not crazy expensive. Feels great in my hand. Love the soft touch accent. The ink if rich & feels heavy. Love that. I have the full color assortment & rotate through several colors everyday!

Great pens except for one thing. They should either have replacement ink cartridges or should be recyclable by Staples when they are brought back to be replaced. There is already too much single use plastic in the world. Providing a slight discount on their replacements could encourage people to return them for recycling when the ink runs out and get them to buy the pens again. A win-win for customers for Staples and the environment.

I'm slightly disappointed in these ones. I feel like the black ones right better than the colored ones.

Overall the pens have suited their purpose but the one I needed the most the aqua shade was completely unfunctional and a couple of the others need ‘priming' or firm pressing to activate a smooth flow of ink when I first begin to use them. I will try another assortment next time.

I purchased this product as the old Staples Gel Pen is no longer being offered for sale. Totally disappointed in this product as it does not write without using a tremendous amount of force then ink comes out heavily and skips. I do not plan to use this pen and recommend not to purchase this item. The old Staples Gel Pen would be getting a Five Star rating.

I purchased these pens because they were gel ink and the tube was grippy which is great since I do a lot of writing for work. I was extremely disappointed when after writing 2 pages (no exaggeration) the ink started to fade as I was writing. Then the pen just stopped writing altogether. No ink would flow out of the pen. I attempted to scribble on a piece of paper hoping it would start to flow again but it did not. I thought it was maybe just the one pen I was using possibly being defective but then the same thing happened when I tried to use another pen from the pack. I highly recommend purchase another brand/type of pen that's actually known for its quality. I got excited for these and was quickly let down.
