I thought they were cardboard but they aren't. Not as sturdy as I thought they would be.

Very poor construction.
I know these are inexpensive, and not intended to last long, but as I was trying to carefully unwind the first one, it ripped in pieces. I didn't try another one. Not worth the money or effort.
