Star Trek Universe "Original Star Trek Series” Classic Phaser with Lights and Sounds

Hey guys, this is not the the same old Playmates phaser from 20 years ago. It now has 3 sound settings instead of 2. Kill and overload sound settings are as expected. But the stun sound is well, stunning. They used the preferred stun sound effect as the one used on Gary Seven in Assignment Earth. You true Trekies will know what I'm talking about. So get one on the cheap while you can!

This re-issue of the replica that first appeared circa the early 1990s works great, just like the original. I always wanted a spare, and now I have it, and the price is still pretty reasonable. Delivery was prompt, right to my door. Thanks, WalMart!

Love this upgraded phaser from Playmates. It's similar in design to the original version from the 90s, but the upgrades include a self destruct setting as well as a blue tip glow for stun setting, and a red glow for the kill setting. Just a great upgrade and update from Playmates. I hope they put as much thought into future releases.

I had seen other versions of this for much higher prices, some as much as $100 more and I can hardly tell the difference. It looks great and the sounds and lights are bonus. I wish it had a stand but that is a minor criticism. For the incredibly low price I had to get this.

My boss (who is inssane) bought him and me matching Star Trek uniform shirts, then bought himself the crappy blue plastic phaser from Amazon for $18. I sought out something better, and this product DELIVERED! It's high quality through and through.

Amazing look and feel. The sounds are great, love this, it would be awesome for cosplay or a Hallowern costume, but looks just as nice in my collection. Get one before they are gone!

This new Playmates phaser looks very convincing and has a nice heft to it, despite being all plastic. The phaser reminds me of a slightly cheaped-out version of the one from Diamond Select (with neither of them being in the same league as the definitive version from Wand Company). The Playmates iteration is virtually identical visually to the Diamond Select, but there are a few things missing. For one thing, the smaller phaser on top is not removable, and it doesn't have a working dial on top or some of the other moving features of the DS. On the plus side, being all one piece likely makes it better for cosplay and general roughhousing. The phaser noise is very convincing, and there are LED lights on both the emitter and the "power" dial on the rear of the unit. And the great Walmart price on this item undercuts the best deal I could find on Amazon, with the cost being just a small percentage of what Diamond Select phasers are currently trading for.

It looks great at a distance (perfect for COSPLAY). Close up its not bad except for open Screw Holes. Type 1 Hand Held Phase doesn't separate from Type 2 Phaser Frame. Phaser Lights and Sounds work nice. Can't complain too much considering the low price.
