Star Wars Trilogy (Widescreen Theatrical Edition) (DVD)

My kids have become fascinated by the Star Wars movies and have been begging to watch them. My wife and I had the original 3-movie set in VHS -- it was fine on our tube TV, but it looked incredibly fuzzy on our plasma. Since I wanted to have the DVDs to keep for our very limited collection, I shopped all over the Internet to find a set of the original versions, not the ones adulterated by CGI footage. This set actually has both versions of each movie, which is fine with me. The video quality is a huge improvement over our VHS copies, and the price was the lowest I could find from a well-established seller. I don't normally trust reviews that have all 5-star ratings, but I can't rate this product as anything less.

This DVD set is great because it contains both the original and remastered versions of the Star Wars trilogy. In addition, it is in widescreen, so the sides of the film were not removed and you get the full experience. I personally prefer the originals, but I get both with this in case I get a whim to watch the others.

GREAT SET OF MOVIES, $10 LESS THEN COMPETITORS PRICES.... A MUST HAVE EXCEPT THEY ARE IN THE SLIM CASES, BUT OVERALL 9/10.

I'man avid fan, and was delighted to purchase the original episodes 4,5, and 6 on DVD. I have the Original Versions on VHS and the Special Editions on VHS but because the price has seemed high I had never purchased them on DVD. $25 was a good deal for the set and it was even cheaper than Costco, so I am very happy with it.

These three movies are the standard set by George Lucas, a standard that has continued for mpore than a decade, these movies keep you on the edge of your seat, and entertain throughout the films. Excellent special effects, and a perfect way to collect the entire set.

I wasn't expecting this box set to contain both the original theatrical release of the Star Wars Trilogy along with the modified "Special Edition" release of each film. A great buy!

Features the 3 original (and lets be honest, the best) movies in the Star Wars saga. At the time of my review, this will set you back only $23, not a bad price at all considering bought individually, each movie will cost you $10-$15. Great for the old school Star Wars fan and also for the new generation of kids getting introduced to the saga. If you love Star Wars, get this....or wait until they release the entire saga in one boxset

Was hoping that this DVD set would have a quality picture and it does. I bought a DVD terminator movie to replace a VHS tape and it had a very poor quality picture and so I was hesitant to buy these StarWARs DVDs. Picture and sound is great with this DVD set.

I purchased the starwars trilogy at walmart because they had the lowest price than the other stores. It was a movie that ALL ages can watch and be entertained. It gave us entertainment at a cost that doesn't break the bank. Very affordable and fun times.
