Best chipper value on the market

Frugal Terrier December 2, 2022

As good as my original starfrit chipper but I love the added cubing and slicing feature. I just wish i could buy replacement blades...which is the only reason im replacing my original Starfrit. We have been using it about once a week for the last 10 years! I had tried the Weston ratchet chipper and it was so inferior that i returned the Weston ratcheted chipper!

Well built product and I found it very easy to use. The family is loving how easy it is to use and quickly slice up almost anything.

Easier on hands

Jessica P. April 27, 2025

Really good for making use of your potatoes quicker and less hand and wrist pain, the fry cutter makes perfect fries the cubber function helps with cubbing alot of various veggies as well perfect I'll be using this with my vacuum sealer and kitchen scale to portion out home veggie mixes and fries !!!

satisfied customer

Robynz December 18, 2018

I've only used once so far to make yam fries. It does what it says. It's a bit messy as you basically have to just let all the fries fall on the counter and then scoop them up but not a biggie.

Small Fry Cutter

Via1fan July 28, 2021

Perfect French fries and cubes every time. Unit is sturdy and attaches to any smooth surface. My only concern is the size of the potato limited by the small opening on the Pro Fry that makes only small fries.

Starfrit cutter is hard to use

Edmonton Pm December 24, 2024

It is a great unit but instructions are confusing, not easy to clean, the cutter does not suction well to the counter and moves, and is very hard to cut with because it is stiff When it does cut potatoes well it works great.

Not Bad

lyndac68 July 21, 2019

Wasn't to bad, but it will not stay hooked to the counter, so it keeps moving around so I do not use it to often

Sorry, but No Good

tcrvcamp April 15, 2021

I hate leaving negative reviews but I also hate seeing people taken advantage of and I know that most people will just buy this and be unhappy but never bother to return it so.... This chopper does NOT work at all like the promo videos show it. Either the person pressing down on that lever is a weight lifter with killer arm strength or those potatoes have been partially cooked to soften them up a bit. Even a raw onion is almost impossible to press down and get it to cut. And yes, I did read the instructions and I am putting the vegetables in with the cut side away from the blades. The blades are just too dull or the machine is not built right to apply the correct amount of pressure. When I finally did get it to chop a small sweet potato I noticed during the cleaning process that one of the blades had been bent to accomplish the chop (see photo). Also worth mentioning, as other reviewers have stated these cubes and slices are very thick. the fries could never be called a Julian cut, they are very thick. It's just not a good machine. It does not do what they say it will do and the blades are miserably dull. Maybe if all you're going to chop is bananas, avocados and things like that it would work but I wanted a potato cuber, like the video shows. Don't waste your time or money. I'm sending mine back today.
