I LOVE this jack! I bought it to jack some weeds out of my front yard, but my chain can't get a grip. Still this jack is going to come in handy when I repair that retaining wall. CAREFULL some people say you can get these things cheaper for fifty bucks, but I can't find it.

With a 20 foot 3/8 chain wrapped around the base of a fence post this jack makes it easy to remove the fence post base easily.

I would have appreciated knowing before I purchased this product that the jack needs a minimum of 100lbs on it to keep it from free fall when going down. I know I'm not fully utilizing the lifting capacity of the jack but the situation I use it for, that is an important detail

I got this jack to remove some fence posts that I need to replace. It seems to be fairly heavy duty and well made. It didn't come with any directions and I had a hard time figuring out how to get it to reverse and go back down. It looks like the lever should just flip back the other direction to go back down but it won't budge once you flip it into place to jack something up. I had to watch a YouTube video to learn that it will only ratchet in reverse if it has a load on it. I finally played around enough with the mechanism and realized that you have to press on the spring to release it to return the handle to the bottom of the jack. So there was a bit of a learning curve but I'm fairly sure this jack will do the job I bought it for.

The release level is a little hard to change. But this is a solid tool

Dixon item Madewell could be thicker maze in the shaft it bends when you pick things up. all in all pretty good machine

It works but hard to release to go down had a very hard time.

extremely disappointed with not covering the packaging especially this time of year. was a gift for Christmas and was brought in by the one it was intended for. I realize you cannot rebox it but you could have covered it with the shipping paper.
