Healthy and delicious

Jon April 27, 2026

This is one of my favorites. Canned tuna is so versatile, nutritious and delicious. There are so many things you can make with canned tuna, and StarKist is the best. I love it canned in water to reduce the fat content. I make Tuna salad, sandwiches, additional it to leafy salads, make tomato sauce for pasta with it and so much more. StarKist tuna is super healthy and is part of a high protein diet with omega 3 fats, vitamin B12, Selenium and more. I give it 5 stars.

The Perfect Canned Tuna!

Nancy April 15, 2026

Nice Big White Chunks of Albacore Tuna! Just the right amount of salt. Very little water in can compared to other brands of this same type of tuna- more tuna n less water for me. An excellent source of protein and low in calories! I eat it straight out of the can! Its totally delicious!

STARFISH TUNA "STARS" FOR ME WHEN TIME IS SHORT"

Linda April 8, 2026

I always keep a couple of cans of Starfish White Tuna in water on hand. If I am running short on time, a good tuna sandwich for lunch fills the bill! I have never been disappointed in the quality of the fish or the flavor. The sweetest part is, when I start opening the can my beloved cat comes running from wherever she has been "hiding" and is ready for the tuna liquid that I would normally pour off. She thinks the "juice" is a treat. I've offered to share a little of the fish with her but she will have nothing of that...just the "juice". So nothing is wasted! I truly love that I don't have to use a can opener with the cans. So easy to just pull the tab.

This is a quick and easy source of protein.

Sonshinemakesmyday August 11, 2014

This is a quick and easy source of protein! If you are not a "fish lover" the albacore tuna is your best choice for canned tuna. It is much less fishy tasting. You can eat it with crackers or on toast. You can mix up some tuna salad. However if you don't have all the ingredients just whip up a little olive oil with your hand blender. Add apple cider vinegar and some horseradish mustard. Stir in tuna and diced veggies of your choice; maybe celery and carrots, or stoplight peppers. Get creative with your albacore tuna and enjoy!

Not as tasty as tuna in oil but good

Kathy May 20, 2026

I like this tuna to use in casseroles or salads, etc. where you can season it up. I prefer tuna in oil because it has more flavor but this is still good tuna.

Tuna

Stephanie May 1, 2026

I bought this to add to a cheaper can of tuna for sandwiches. I was disappointed because there was no flavor. My husband also noticed it lacking. I had added onions, sweet relish, diced eggs and miracle whip and there was no tuna flavor.

Don't substitute Starkist for anything

Bridget April 18, 2026

Starkist quality is so much worse than even the generic brand. It's disgusting and doesn't appear to be solid white albacore. It's absolutely awful and I do not recommend.

DARK MEAT!

GirlinTexas December 2, 2025

Dear Starkist, why do i keep ordering SOLID WHITE ALBACORE TUNA in water. The can i receive says that's what i received and yet much you my surprise when i open the can i don't see any white meat It's all dark meat!!! You have the absolute worst quality control department!! Stop putting dark meat in solid white meat cans!! This is false advertising!

Quality control is terrible

Sharon November 12, 2025

The tuna had dark red and black spots on the tuna. It grossed me out, and I didn't eat it. I called Star-Kist and customer service said that it is normal to have blood in with the tuna. It comes from cutting too close to the bone. I think they said the black stuff was skin, but they weren't concerned, I guess they think it is to be expected. I will never buy this brand of tuna again.
