Fast is slow, and smooth is fast..
When you need high speed projectiles for teenagers to throw during a parade, these fit the bill. Initial velocity is good, then the aerodynamics of the wrapper take over, slowing the velocity prior to hitting the parade attendees, Might consider sling shots if increased range is desired.
