Starship Troopers: Traitors of Mars (Steelbook)

I enjoyed this sci-fi sequel. It doesn't quite capture the magic of the first, but pretty close. I think for the money you get great value. A cool Steelbook and fun 4k for a good price. Sign me up 😃👋

Overall fun 3D animated popcorn flick with troops, guns and giant bugs. It feels like cutscenes of a great action video game. Fans the franchise will enjoy this military machismo action. The steelbook case has a great Mars wartime theme that reflects a military vibe and in a way, espionage as the story has a traitor tale. Reminds me of WWII style but set on Mars.

This movie is animated and I think it looks great, if you have seen Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within the animation looks similar. I don't entirely hate all the live action sequels to Starship Troopers but in my opinion this one ranks above them, but under the original. This steelbook edition is cool and will go next to the steelbook for the original.

I have not watched the movie yet, but the steelbook looks pretty cool. It arrived quickly and well packed. No damage, as sometimes steelbooks do tend to suffer the occasional dent or ding.

the 4k upgrade and sound upgrade is amazing. the movie itself is fine; pretty generic in my opinion. this movie can ve a guolty pleasure.

The story is okay, but honestly the computer animation looks like PS4 video game cut-scene. There really isn't any good justification for putting it on 4k UHD release. The film loses its biting cynicism on the jingoism, statolatry, and ultranationalism. For the most part the film lacks humor and humans are back to fighting each other... But let's use bugs to destroy our enemies. It doesn't have any sexiness or playfulness of the original either. This is a straight-up sci-fi story in the same realm as the origin. Some of the characters are returning from the original film. If you are a movie collector and are a fan of the original film, then I would say this is an add, otherwise I might consider saving money to purchase more important or interesting films.
