Well built, sturdy cable. I prefer DisplayPort cables with latches and these work very well. The cable itself is a bit heavier (thicker) and stiffer than some other cables I've handled, but for my use (connecting multiple monitors to a computer), it's fine.
Used these on 2 Dell 34" displays. 3440 x 1440 . No problems.
I have had it about a week and it is working perfectly. You can hear it clicking into place when you plug it in.
The cable is a little thick but I have no idea how thick the cable is supposed to be. I have ordered HDMI cables in the past that have various sizes of thickness which can be annoying. This can sometimes be difficult for a secure connection and maintaining the integrity of the port.
This cable works great for my set-up, ASUS motherboard Prime Z370-A connected to AOC monitor I2769Vm. It is higher spec than needed for HD to future proof it for 4K and it looks good build quality. I would happily buy again. What was disappointing the physical cable (I'm not talking about the sales packaging) had no displayport standards marked on it like "DPv1.2 HBR2" or the Startech product code, not helpful when reconfiguring/diagnosing issues, in years to come. Until this is resolved I suggest customers label their Startech cables to save lots of frustration with wasted time and money. From an experienced IT professional.
Good quality cable 60Hz will work no problem at 1080p and 2k. In 4k I can get between 30-59Hz but sometimes (2-3x a year) I get a black screen I need to unplug and replug the cable. Compared to Primecable these Displayport cables from Startech are way better. I am a small reseller from Canada.
Stopped working after about 6 months. Monitor says no signal when computer comes out of sleep. Unplugged, replugged, rebooted, turned off/on... nothing. Bought another brand and monitor started working again. Who would have thought a cable would stop working all of a sudden? It wasn't moved, pulled, or stretched in any way, just stopped working!
I am flabberghasted as to why this cable doesn't let me get above 60hz at 1080p. I got another brand and It works.
