A little pricey, but otherwise works perfectly
I needed a pcie firewire card with a native pcie chip to use with my audio interface. Using a bridged chip causes occasional glitches in sound. This card works perfectly. The only issue is that the price of this card was more than 5x more than the one I was replacing, but I guess that's just the way things are these days.

Yeah, it's good
Have no problem with this. Easy to install. I have my mixer board hooked to it and it does as well as it did on my other computer that had Firewire factory installed. It is what it is.

Great firewire 800 card for use w/Presonus Equip
Installed quickly and easily in my Dell PC. Got it to use with my studiolive presonus mixer board which needed a firewire 800 connection to my PC. Everything worked and recorded the first time which was amazing to me but I had done my homework ahead of time and picked a card that was right for my music equipment and my specific PC computer.

Did not work for my Dell i660s desktop
Bought this card for recording using FireWire with my Audio Interface. Was not compatible with my desktop. I suggest calling the computer manufacturer and getting one that is compatible with your motherboard.

firewire card
Purchased a Startech firewire card into Win 11 and although system sees card it does not install drivers. Startech also does not have drivers. Do not purchase and waste your money until they sort this out.
