StarTech USB to VGA External Video Card Multi Monitor Adapter

This works better than anything I've tried to extend screens on multiple monitors from a laptop. Easy install, no monitor freezing, great with excel sheets! So glad a spent a little more $, so worth it!!!

I own a small business and needed to add a monitor to my dual monitor set up. My IT ordered the unit for me told me I didn't need his expertise (or the charge) to set it up because it's so easy. He was absolutely correct! It took 4 minutes of my time including downloading the driver. Highly recommend as it works perfectly.

I am not an it person. Simply read on line how to easily hook up a second monitor to my home computer. Person recommended using an external USB VGA adapter. I made sure the connection would work with my monitor, purchased adapter, hooked up, setup and everything worked perfect. Couldn't have been easier. Perfect.

My computer tech guy said it couldn't be done, said you could not connect a second monitor to my USB 2.0 port, after trying one purchased online from China. Well, this StarTech adapter proved him wrong! Setup was simple, and my second monitor works great! It was very easy to shop for it on the StarTech website...excellent descriptions of your items and their capabilities.

I use 4 of these on 2 computers with a 6 screen setup and all work with no issues and have for several years. Much easier to setup and use than fooling with opening the computer and attempting to install multi monitor video cards (believe me I have tried) and way less expensive.

I have used these for many businesses to get them on dual monitors. It is easy to install and works well with minimal effort. I have used this on old and new computers, windows XP, 7, and 8.

This USB graphics adapter is ok for light browsing and light office applications (MS Word, for instance), but if you're planning to use it for streaming data (like a stock market data feed) or more complex graphics, you should probably consider one with a buffer, and USB-3 connectivity. Startech has similar units with buffers ranging from 16MB to 1GB.
