My external hard drive I previously had died so I got a new hard drive and a new enclosure which is USB 3.0 vs USB 2.0. Data transfer will be faster than my old one. It was also cheaper than buying one came as a complete unit. This way I can selective about my hard drive. I also like the fact that I can lay it flat or stand it up on the stand provided.
Works fine, just be careful because the USB 3.0 cable is proprietary so if you damage it you have to purchase a replacement from the manufacturer.
