Starwest Botanicals Organic Schisandra Berry Whole, 1 Pound

1 lb is a large package, it will last a good long while. I think the price for the size is reasonable for good quality organic schisandra berries. I got this to make a tea blend, trying to replicate something I tried and really loved, but was too expensive (in tea bags) to have on an ongoing basis. I'm looking forward to experimenting to create my blend, and also looking for other ways to use schisandra berries. I know they are an amazing adaptogen with lots of benefits. My one concern is that they are sourced from China. I respect Starwest Botanicals for being honest and transparent about that, and I trust them so I'm trusting that the quality is good.

I use this as an adaptogen for an herbal tea blend I drink regularly. I like to mix this with rose hipe, and hawthorn berry. It has a very pleasant flavor that's somewhat tart but refreshing.

In comparison to previous buys, this schisandra was fresh and a lot better tasting. I did feel the effects I got from this were more toned down as was the taste. One of my favourite botanical/herbs to use. High quality ingredient with enough servings in there to last a long time.

These berries look and smell very fresh, not as dark as the photo. Great value. Schizandra berries are a powerful rejuvenator. Their tea is absolutely exquisite tasting, and a beautiful red. Tradition says you must take the tea for over 100 days in a row.

These schisandra berries were so vibrant in color and produce a wonderfully deep red infusion. Lovely taste as well. I'm glad I stocked up while they were on sale

I put some of those berries in my hormonal capsules with some other herbs and I'm very happy with the results !

I like to make tea with these berries. Pair well with my other tea such as Hawthorn, licorice. Add ginger, lemon to it, too. Yum.

I think the quality of this product is very good. There's an organic source in the US which I like better but being in the EU, this is the best source I've found. Works really well and the taste, look, and feel of the berries is what it should be.
